Joe buddy your supposed to rest and recover after a meet hell you have been lifting max effort for 2 months now take a week off and then rest set all of your weights 20% below where you were at and start over… you will thank yourself 2 months from now when you blast past where you are at… your body has to recover sometime

Genreally I only reset the 5/3/1 when I can’t make the minimum. I did reset my bench this time though because my reps were so low that I thought it would be a good idea.
Great job at the meet Joe. I know you must’ve been pumped to get that 330 squat. Looked like you changed up your squat technique/form from the way you normally lift -was that intentional?
And I have to say I agree with what damutt said. I’d probably go with say down 10%, but the # is not the important thing, it’s that you need to go with a lot more rep-type weights for a while to recover and to build up your strength base. My .02.

I widen my stance when I lift out of a monlift. Theres something about that thing that seems to make my form better though I don’t know what it is.
Great meet performance Joe, although I do feel a bit ‘suckered’.
All this “my squat totally sucks, I couldn’t even squat 220 today and that was way high blah, blah” sort of stuff before each meet and then you go out and nail an awesome, deep 330!!
I’m beginning to think you’re a bit of a fibber.
Sorry, but at first glance I keep thinking your new avi is lil power. The stance, colours, monolift etc…see what I mean?
When I look closer of course I can differentiate by the breasts…yours are slightly perkier!
