I got fussed at for making noise deadlifting today and it really, really pissed me off. The 395 was ugly and probably not white lightable but I did lock it out. Need to get my hips moving through faster.

Please tell me you scared that little kid back into his place? Half the people at that desk only go to the gym for their paycheck, they wouldn’t know what a weight is, let alone a heavy one.

I find that a 12 inch box is a long long way down…seems like that last inch is a mile. Nice deads, if they fussed at you Joe, just ask them to pick the weight and move it for you…I am guessing they will be quiet after that!

So I’m switching to a wider grip on the bench for good and I’m going to try and work it our further still. Going to do it slowly so I don’t bash up my shoulders. It was a good day all things considered.

Joe, hard work in here as always. What is the purpose behind taking a wider grip on bench? I probably use a narrow grip, but then my shoulders are narrow so its tough to figure out what would be best.

Shorter ROM.

Be careful on the wider grip that it doesn’t aggitate your shoulders too much. Where’s your grip regularly?

My normal grip is just outside the center silver rings, yeah thats prtty close grip. Right now I’m pushing it out to where the outside of my hand touches the silver oly strip.

Well, I guess a measurement would be a better indicator. O ring position varies quite a bit on gym bars.
