NewDamage has a killer physique and strong DL numbers if I recall correctly.

Yep, he’s strong as an ox and Paul pulled 565 for a triple. No belt, nothing.
That’s pretty cool. It’s always fun to meet up with T-Nation people in real life. A couple of years ago Ddot did my body fat for me at the local Goodlife gym.
This is your second meet right Joe? What do you think your problem is? Is it related to the meet or just life in general stuff?

Yep, second meet. Honestly I think I just need to stop sucking.
Joe, there is still plenty of time to have some strong trainings before the meet. Sometimes a training can just suck for no apparent reason. Happens to me often.

missing 260 is really starting to annoy me.
Stay positive man.
You’ll KILL 260 at the meet.
Stay with it, Joe. And don’t let frustration get the best of you. It will pass and you will do fine.
Don’t want to build a mental roadblock, because it is really just a rung in the ladder.
As always you guys are right. I just need to get my head out of my ass.
On the upside there is a woman in my class who seems to be on the prowl for a husband and you should see all the guys dancing around her.
Also this week is going to be record breaking hot, it will be 97-100 today and in the high 90’s for at least the next 10 days. good weather for working on your tan and enjoying nature though.
Going to take a rest day, maybe go for a walk at lunch, and get my mind right.
Yeah dude, I know from experience it is almost impossible to bench with your head in your ass. ![]()

I think someone needs to work on their arch then don’t they? ha.
Joe, fwiw, I’m starting to dial down the intensity now. I will pull for the last time on Sunday and then only for nominal light weights. Bench, I’ll stay heavier longer and tomorrow I’l squat to my second and then next week to my opener just. You won’t get stronger between now and June 18. You’re best to recover and work on mental issues.
Nice work
so you missed 260, I’m sure there was some spotter fuckery not to far away
you just easily hit all your openers last few weeks,
just relax until the meet.
Joe take that creased and wrinkled picture of frenchie in her laundry outfit
out of your pocket and smile

What I’m doing is my phasing out my assistacne stuff and my last lifting day will be on the 14th. I always feel weaker after a deload so three rest days seems to be my wheelhouse for feeling strong and energetic.
i wouldn’t take 260 again until the meet, it could mess up your confidence. better to hit 250 or 255 and get the lift. or double it.
you will tear shit up. relax and let it happen.
Nice training Joe. I’m willing to bet you will motor thru 260. Your lifts are looking really good.
Jesus, Joe, you’re almost benching what I deadlifted at my meet. You can’t lose.
I spent the week before with light weights, just making sure form was impeccable.
If you recover enough, you might nail those attempts which are giving you trouble. Can’t wait to see how it goes.
If I brought up the topic of Ohio State/Tressel, would be be “pro Big Ten football”, or “con Big Ten football?”
Just curious.
