Any Golden Corrals around there? Ours is having a ribs special, several varieties, all you can eat, go back for seconds & thirds.

We have one pretty close to my house. I don’t get to go often as my wife doesn’t really eat all that much but the ribs might push it over the edge.

After the entire challenge I am a little leaner and thats over a time period where I let my eatting get pretty sloppy. Even more I cna tell that over time doing it would result in a pretty nice lat spread. which is why I’ll be restarting after a weeks break.

I imagine that might be the case. I doubt I will ever get it as tight as another person will be able to.

I know it sucks that he grabbed the bar but the way it flew off your chest there is no question the weight was yours. Good work.

I concur, and that modest annoyance is worth it considering that the alternative is no spotter, and likely no 1RM.

Here is what I see that appears to be different in your form from previous lifts. The position of your feet are further under your butt. This is supposed to be good in that it gives you a little back arch and is supposed to tighten your shoulder blades on the bench (also good). I see your heals come down ever so slightly as you lift the bar off your chest – I’d take that as an indication of “leg drive” – also deemed to be a good thing.

Once the bar is over 1/2- the way up, the heals bounce a little, or shake up and down. I’m not sure what that is – could be relaxing of the legs a little, and a decrease in leg drive (hard to tell). In contrary to that, it also looks like your hips and abdomen come upwards every so slightly as you lift the bar off the chest – another indication of more leg drive – and I don’t really see that relax until the bar is racked.

Conventional wisdom for bench pressing would probably have your elbows come in a little as the bar nears your chest – that is supposed to be a stronger position, and easier on the shoulders – but it is hard to tell if that is even possible for you with the side angle of video. That’d be my only suggestion to consider. I was always taught to have the elbows out as far as possible to give the greatest stretch on the peck – so it is something I struggle with.

Otherwise, looks good to me. Nice weight too.
