My “expensive” (about $21/month) but “low traffic” gym got rid of their one squat cage and replaced it with the rack similar to what you use – however this “new” rack has horizontal “safety arms” that are only about 12 inches long (yours look to be at least 2 or 3 feet long). I found I couldn’t squat in it – didn’t feel safe. The guys hauling away the cage offered it to me – they’ed even deliver it – but it would have resulted in a divorce – so I had to say “no”.
So now I belong to the “inexpensive” gym ($12/month if I fill out a health assessment form every 3 months – it is a “deal” through work) – but I have to fight off a lot of bodies to use equipment (but they have sweet, sweet I tell you, squat cages. And they have 10 of them). This new gym was actually good – as all the gyms in town had to drop prices to compete with the “inexpensive” gym.
I’ll probably squat and deadlift at one, and bench press at the other. Couldn’t afford two memberships without the price drops.

We don’t have actual cages, we have the things I squat in and its really hard to get a set up that lets you hit your chest and still have safeties.
305 was terrible got distracted and/or worried about wrap coming undone and cut it way high. I was recording it but the lifting gogs were so ashamed of my squat that they turned off my camera right as I unracked it by causing it to run out of memory.
I vow by god I will hit 305 at my freaking meet. I deleted a million old vids and recorded my heaviest Zercher. Christ.

Ten cages? In one gym? And you have to fight people off? Wow! My two gyms have one cage apiece. And they’re mine. Curlers see me coming and they vacate.

So, Joe, what is the meet plan?
And the 60-day challenge is now . . . ?
The meet is June 18 so for the next three weeks I’m testing meet lifts and trying to figure out what my attempts should be.
I’m eight days way from finishing the 60 day challenge.

Is anyone coaching you or checking your form?
As in locally? Nope.
But snapper, steve, FB, got and tons of others helped check depth at my last meet on this thread so hopefully they’ll keep me straight this time as well.
You know, one of these I hope to be lucky enough to have a T-Vixen send me a photo of her in saran wrap. But since I’m not training for a meet, I might have to wait a while. Someday…
Also what is the view like with the windows there, looks like a cool set up. If they would move the squat racks there that would be even better. But you would just get more curling douches in there I imagine.
