This article sums up my feelings on Lebron and why I root against him and others perfectly:
My favorite paragraph:
There was always something that felt to me â?¦ well, I guess the word is unsubstantial about LeBronâ??s Superfriends vision. The way he talked, the things he said, it seemed to me that he didnâ??t just want to â??win a championship.â?? He wanted to do it easy. He wanted an instant championship, just add water, and then maybe win another two or three or five more. That attitude just rubbed me wrong. Itâ??s not easy. Itâ??s NEVER easy. It took Oscar Robertson 11 years and a young teammate named Alcindor to get his title. Is LeBron James more dominant in his time than Oscar Robertson was in his? Jerry West and Elgin Baylor â?? two of the all-time greats â?? played together for 12 years without winning a championship, and they didnâ??t win one until Wilt Chamberlain joined in, not to mention Hall of Famer Gail Goodrich. And that was in a different NBA, an NBA that wasnâ??t as deep, wasnâ??t as spread out, wasnâ??t as important on the American sports scene â?¦ point is itâ??s plain HARD to win a championship, I think LeBron James believed he had outsmarted the system.

I feel like MIA’s big three has been genuinely surprised by all the hate they’ve received. I mean, Wade and James especially have seen nothin but love for their entire lives previously and prob never saw this coming.
The other funny consequence is how other stars are now following MIA’s lead and teaming up, like in NY. And if D Howard ends up in LA. And maybe MIA never gets their ring after all…

Oh, totally. Like you said these dudes [especially James and Wade] have been the leagues two golden gooses since basiclly their first season. The fact that entire arenas are booing them now when just a year ago they were cheering them has to be fucking with 'em. Their decisions [and THE decision] were made by spoiled, irresponsible kids that didn’t have the wisdom or foresight to see how it would be publicly percieved, and now they’r butthurt about the backlash. Pesonally, I love it haha.
Also, what’s this about Howard eventually going to LA? That’s not the first time I’ve heard that. Why do people think he’ll bolt Orlando, specifically to LA? First he steals Shaq’s nickname and now he’s gonna steal his career path?

I don’t get it ether, it’s all rumours. He basically gets flustered whenever someone asks him if he plans to bolt in 2012

To be fair, he could squash it by saying “I’m staying in Orlando”. Guess that could/would potentially hurt his value in the open market if he does decide to test it.

WHen he signed his contract extension in 2007, he stated he wanted to retire in Orlando
^^^That was 5 years ago, and his 3rd year in the league. A lot can change in that time. Saw an interview earlier this season where when he was asked he avoided the question and said that people asking are starting to bother him. Maybe he’s just jockying for better financial position[like Wade did], but if he really didn’t want the attention he’d squash the rumors.
I won’t tolerate my Spurs losing to clearly inferior opponents like the Lakers!
Seriously though it looks like the Lakers are back. HOWEVA… If things stay like they are now record-wise with the Spurs No. 1, Mavs No. 2 and Lakers No. 3 its good news for any fans sick of the Lakers winning championships. It’s good how the Spurs and Mavs are up top together which will ensure they don’t meet until the WCF if each makes it that far. Those two always have a thrilling, grind it out series whenever they meet in the Playoffs.
For the Lakers they will be very good every time Pau Gasol scores and rebounds. The question is how will he respond come playoff time, will he play his heart out and get another ring or will he take it a bit easy and bring a smile to the rest of the teams in the West.
I don’t care what Bosh’s stats were before he came to Miami. He’s playing like garbage now, and I think this is pretty indicative of his value to Miami. He has no power and he can’t post up. He’s not versatile like a Dirk, either.
Miami needs a REALLY good big man.
You guys think Riley will pull out Spoelstra at all this year? Or will that happen next season?
LeBron is still one of the best players in the last 10 years. It’s the team chemistry and coaching, not the sum of individual talent, that’s telling about Miami. Even though Wade is phenomenal as well and Miami is the best fast break scoring team in the league. They play poor defense and aren’t getting their rebounds.
I was really shocked at the 30 point loss to San Antonio. 10 pts? Fine, but 30 means that whatever weaknesses earned them that loss are what has plagued them during this losing streak. The loss to Spurs brought a lot to the surface.
This is for BodyGuard because I know he hates LeBron James. Someone please give him a heads up:

Yeah so…I keep noticing that you say the Spurs are the “best team” in the league. Well they have the “best record”, that’s all I’ll agree with. But as a Laker’s fan, I’m not the least bit concerned with San Antonio having homecourt come playoff time.
When Pau, Lamar, and Andrew are all on; no one can beat them. This is to all the Laker fans out there, have you noticed how mobile Andrew Bynum is around the hoop now? 17 boards the last 2 games? If Andrew is going to be this active with defense and rebounding the rest of the league is in trouble.
Although I will withhold getting too excited until we see what the Lake Show does in the next week against the Magic, Mavs and Heat.
LeBron is still one of the most athletic and naturally gifted players in the last 100 years but doesn’t have the leadership or finishing skills to win championships. He can’t even sniff the shorts of the NBA’s best players of the last 100 years. [/quote]

If you’re not worried about the Spurs in San Antonio, you should be. I would not put too much stock in one game regardless of how good they looked. Besides you have to figure Bynum will get injured by the time the playoffs roll around anyway.
The problem with this Miami team is they have no one outside of the big 2 and slightly bigger than average third (Bosh). Everyone kept saying “just wait for Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem to get healthy” when the OBVIOUS response is “if your team hinges on Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem being healthy, you probably won’t win a championship”.
Does Riley even watch basketball? How many teams have signed Mike Miller to be a shooter then given him away because he refuses to shoot unless there’s no one within 15 feet of him? What good is a shooter who won’t put up shots? And don’t fucking tell me a 6’8" guy who can rebound and has an above-average midrange jumpshot is going to be a gamechanger when he’s starting at center.
Of course they can always start Joel “1.9 points per 20 minutes” Anthony who they smartly signed to a multimillion dollar contract.
I do think the Heat will win a title, but not this year. They’ll find SOMEONE who can give them average production from the 5 spot. Bibby isn’t awful as your 4th best starter.
The other thing I forgot to mention about the Heat: I don’t believe this 0-9 vs. the top teams means diddly squat. The Wade-Heat team that won the title was awful against the best teams too. It’s been proven many times over that records in close (sub-5 point differential) games is extremely random, is not predictive, and has no bearing on the playoffs.
I do believe that their inexplicable ability to hold big leads in the second half is an issue. My opinion is their offense is just too predictable and you have to have more variety to score in all 4 quarters against elite defensive teams. They do play great team defense and have two of the best players in the NBA, which is a recipe for potential playoff success. I certainly wouldn’t mind it if the Bulls can play ORL instead of MIA in the playoffs. But MIA will have a tough time scoring against ORL/CHI/BOS for 4 quarters.
The race for the top 3 seeds in the East will come down to the wire for BOS MIA and CHI. I wish I could fast forward time till the 2nd round of the East playoffs… it will be some combination of BOS-MIA-CHI-ORL. Good stuff.
Bosh is horribly overrated. He isn’t dominant like any true big man and he just has no power whatsoever. He doesn’t make shit happen. I don’t care what the fuck he did before he came to Miami.
Really sick of people hating on LeBron because of The Decision or whatever else media shit ensued. Who fucking cares? Like THAT makes someone an inferior/superior athlete? Give me a break. He still plays great, but yes, the Wade-James offense IS predictable and the Heat don’t move the ball around enough.
Haslem is really mediocre and Miller is worthless as scj119 put it.
