2010-2011 NBA Season 2.0

DeRozan got robbed. He had the two best actual dunks of the night. McGee had the most creativity, but he didn’t land any dunk on his first try, and all but one took 5+ tries. Griffin won 'cause he’s the new face of the NBA. But, I will say that if he landed the first dunk it would’ve been in my top 5 contest dunks of all time. That was a two handed 360 windmill off of one leg from a straight away. That’s a serious dunk.

^WTF? I think I just saw a ghost post in here…

And to think I was gonna post a mock obituary in your training log :D.

Haha, I wish. Just wanted to do something different and had nothing holding me back, so left Houston and moved in with a cousin [who’s a lawyer and a “good influence”]. But depending on how long I’m here and how healthy [and in absketball shape] I get I might try out for the PCC team. I start school on the 28th of March and am gonna look into it.

Everytime i see these over-the-car-dunks i need to post this link:

Yeah, it wasn’t an alley-oop dunk but it was at least over the roof. Don’t know why Griffin chose such a high car. He could have just picked a lower car, jumped over the roof and it would be much better.[/quote]

I was thinking the exact same thing and then I heard Kevin Harlan say that Kia was the “official car of the NBA.” Heaven forbid he didn’t use a Kia…

I thought the best dunk of the competition was the one by Javell McGee where he ran from the corner ducked his head under the backboard then dunked the ball while basically dislocating his shoulder in the process.

^That was an awesome dunk. I also really like his first dunk with 2 basketballs. Not a lot of people could pull that off.

Kobe Bryant making a strong case for a third All-Star MVP.

EDIT: Correction - 4th All-Star MVP.

^ lol I’m not surprised. Kobe was planning on taking this game seriously all along. I loved the attempted block by lebron on Kobe

^That was awesome! This was also a pretty entertaining game and very competitive at the end. Two other notable performance was Durant and James. Good game overall.

KNICKS JUST HIT THE MOTHERLOAD!!!

Oh boy

The paper, citing a league source, reported that the Nuggets are sending Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman to New York.

The Nuggets will receive Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Timofey Mozgov from New York, in addition to the Knicks’ 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors’ 2012 and 2013 second-round picks and $3 million.

too bad the Knicks couldnt find a way to keep Gallinari (i’m pretty sure that is what was holding the deal up)

they’ll be pretty good now but wont make a serious playoff run IMO

No you.

The Knicks gave up Gallinari, Chandler, Felton and Mozgov (very bright future) all of whom have terrific upside and are just now showing their potential.

First off we have to see how cohesive A’mare with play with Melo and how cohesive and coherent the entire team will play. Secondly we have to see how this new Knick team will play defense because from all opinion I can gather it seems they downgraded on the defensive end, they lost a lot of size.

I haven’t heard one analyst say they are a threat in the East this year or even next year. This is Stage Two of what seems to be a massive and lengthy restoration process (the restoration of an iconic franchise).

All that is known however is that with every big move and with every big trade the Laker monopoly on the NBA is slowly fading and in a couple of years the lakers won’t be the “NBA’s franchise.”

Agreed. At first I was sort of ‘meh’ about it until I seen it replayed in slow mo.

Weak All-Star game. WEAK. Probably one of the most boring in recent years.

There should be a no rule: NO jumpshots. Give us entertainment, for fuck sake. Entertainment = dunks, amazing plays. I don’t want to see boring ass jump shots.

Remember that year when Macgrady threw it off the board to himself for the dunk? Then the momentum of the game changed, and guys started dunking. That’s what should’ve happened.

Some nice plays but overall, a boring game.

I am pissed that I missed the dunk contest. Griffin is an animal but the dunk over the car was stupid; no technical merit to that dunk, just theatrical production.

I have to look for a replay of the contest but don’t know where to look. Everywhere on YouTube has the clips taken down.

I seriously hope you’re joking.

Actually, Gallianri wasnt holding the deal up, it was Mozgov, Gallo was included in their last supposed last offer. It leaves them exetremely thin, but you need two superstars to win a championship it seems. They did get to keep fields which is an intangible guy you need on a team like this. The Billups thing concerns me, not because he cant play but more because he didnt want to play in NY and did not want to be traded.

I wonder if something else will be done to accomodate him. All in all its a trade you have to do, Gallo gets replaced wih Melo (win) Felton was not here for the long haul, Chandler is a FA after this season and Mozgov had talent but is extremely raw…Im hoping the knicks can somehow get Przbilla on this team…as a knick fan I am happy.
