Yea man, he has sacrificed some muscle to get down to 202. In the end, I think it is definitely a smart choice, he can really do some damage in that class.

Yes he is. He’s been between 208-215 in recent years. Last year he was at his heaviest and didn’t do well. I believe he’s heeding feedback he’s gotten that for his structure, he looks “blockier” at a heavier weight and he would be better off at around 202.
At the 2007 Ironman I believe he said he was at around 208 and he placed 2nd. If you look at his pics from the USA’s in 04, he looked outstanding at a bodyweight of around 196.
Anyone know how tall Dugdale is? I don’t think too many of the under 202 guys are over 5’6…

Impressive…and he looks that filled out after dropping weight so he could meet the new criteria better.
He was one of the true mass monsters. There was a pic of him sitting in his pool from a few years back where he looks wider than the hot tub.

Just so you know, many of these guys are multi-lingual. Nasser El Sonbatty could speak five languages. Dennis can speak at least 3. Dennis sounds like a guy from New York when he speaks in English but he actually rarely lived in America growing up.

I was just surprised. You’re from Europe, and Germanic languages (inc Dutch, Afrikaans) are very distinctive.
As PX said, Dennis James was born (I think) and grew up in Germany.
