Okay, got to it today…twice. lol

The first time I did it, I didn’t hear my camera beep telling me that my memory card was full, so I had to do it twice after I rested. So, after rep 40 I had to give Stallion some ribbing!

Well done, how much weight was that?

says the weight in the video, 225

Today I went to squat 225# for 20 but only made it to 10 due to a back injury. I severely pulled it deadlifting in a meet a couple of months ago. The weight was easy but the pain was hell so I’ll have to sit back and watch for a while. Hopefully it’ll get better and I can join you guys before too long. I’ll be dropping in with encouragement, so keep the videos coming regardless of how much weight you’re using. It’s still inspiring!

Excellent stuff man! Are you going to try with even more weight ?

I don’t mind if you swear at me as long as you fight that weight! Excellent setup you have, home gym right ?

What a perfect thread, I love 20 rep squats!

Tonight I squatted 250lbs x 20, and then followed that up with another set of 250lbs x 15. I always do a 20 rep set then a 15 rep set.

I am currently 97kg but have just started dieting, my 1RM squat is 140kg… I attempted 150kg a few weeks ago and JUST missed it, so hopefully next time I will nail it.

The depth was more than good enough… I don’t have a video yet, but I will get my cousin to film it when I reach 120kg x 20. My goal for the meantime is 140kg x 20, which was my 1RM in January.

You 1 rep max is the same as mine so 250 x20 should be do-able for me. I’ll try 225 first to lay some sort of foundation for it.

Well done mate.

Keep the videos coming. You get mad extra points, the more dizzy you are at the end of the set!

ARGH!

I did my challenge today at 90kg did 22 (better than 11 on Monday) in total because I forgot/made sure that my mind wasn’t mucking up so tagged 2 extra on.

Unfortunately I used my brothers’ camera which has an xD which doesn’t work in my computer and I can’t find the cable GRRRRRR. Will try and post it later.

To wet you appetites the 22nd rep looks awesome!

I hit 135 lbs for 20 reps, then tried 155 and also hit 20. 165 next week!

Excellent work from everyone accepting this challenge. Even tough if you do not manage to post a video, 20 reps is something to be proud of. The bigger the weight for YOU, the bigger the challenge.

Today I managed 167.5kg/369lbs x 20 reps.

It is the best I have ever done, and the very last rep was very tough. It lasted for 5.5seconds, in comparison, the first rep lasted for 3 seconds. I really went to the edge today. And I was very proud. Video will come later!

Any idea on how to compress .avi I have 55mb one for my squat but it’s only about 2:30 long and youtube is taking ages.

import with windows movie maker and compile as a project, wmv should be smaller size.

This is probably the best 20 rep squat video I’ve seen, amazing battle that looked brutal! Amazing willpower I didn’t think you were going to make it.

Well, if I could not do it, then I would have to go back tomorrow to try, I did not want that! I am not sure at all if I could have done another rep in this brutal set. I am afraid that it could have been total failure. It was very painful this set, and I was very proud I made it through.

Thank you very much for the compliment, very much appreciated. How do you do, any more squatting for you my friend?

I really want to do 20 rep squat with front squat-with 65% of max-, my shoulders can hold the weight well with high reps I feel. But I’m still in the middle of smolov not sure if i want to try it, but I might go for it this Friday since I still have one more week and two weekends till intense cycle.

I hate Movie Maker and my counting

Whilst doing the weight I thought I did 22
Whilst doing the editing I thought I did 21
One the watching it looks like I did 20.

I beg you to crit technique! (Not the crap angle)

Only because you asked. The angle was fine, your depth was not. I don’t think this will count because, a lot of those reps were no where near parallel. “A” for effort though.

I had a feeling that the depth was going to be a bit iffy when I looked at the video. Considering that I did 11 on Monday to get to 20 e was probably due to not going to deep albeit unconsciously, although no excuse!

Probably would have got out more of it if I had swallowed my ego and gone to 87.5kg.

If you are in the middle of a program, I think you should stick to the program. I wouldn’t have done 20 reps in the middle of smolov.

Excellent sportsmanship! Thank you for taking on the challenge. I enjoyed watching the movie, and you really made some effort, I could tell from your breathing! Very good! However I will not say anything negative about this video depth-wise as you probably can see it yourself.

This is the fifth video from a forumite, including myself, well done for actually having the balls to go to the gym, do 21 rep (yes i posted it) and post it online.

Well done! That sets you apart from most of the people on this forum, yes also from most of the people in this thread. Will you try with bigger weight later? Or are you satisfied to have done this?

This was not easy for you, and I congratulate you on your effort!
