I have seen some dumb shit in my time, but this…this is a new level.
Ask for advice.
Resounding NO from every single person who chimes in, including professionals.
“I’m gonna try it anyway…”
GG.

Haters make me stronger <3
Naw, but why you mad though? i am just trying to walk my own path and this is what i chose for now, i have done the long bulk and long cuts i have done the eat at maintenance before and i have done multiple programs before.
Recently though i started university and moved out, suffered a little depression and lost some weight and strength, but i’ll keep doing this and update with the results after a couple of more cycles when my life is more stable.
LOL
Not mad at all, my brain just hurts a little. Why did you bother asking for advice in the first place?

It’s not a path you chose it’s just a terrible way to go about training. You will not make good gains like this, you will spend two weeks “bulking” which is not enough time to build any significant muscle or strength, then spend the next week “cutting” which is really just going to be you wasting the last two weeks of work you put in in the gym. It’s not a sustainable way to make progress. You need a solid program to follow and you need to be patient.

i realized 2 weeks is not enough time to have a solid program based in progressive overload.
i changed it to 4 weeks bulk 2 week cut, 4 weeks in which i build up volume peaking on the fourth week and then reducing volume and intensity to allow my cns to recover for the next 4 weeks.
i have only done this cycle one time so i wont be making any conclusions yet but as i wrote earlier in the thread i made strength progress trough the cutting weeks and a calorie deficit is a calorie deficit your body doesn’t need to get in gear to lose fat it burns fat all the time, it just replaces it with food calories coming inn when not in a deficit.
Intermittent fasting and related approaches (e.g. different macronutrient ratios and calorie limits on on and off days) attempt to do something like you are suggesting, though normally it goes over a few days, not weeks.
Lots of people have success with such approaches.
Intermittent fasting has absolutely zero to do with so-called bulking and cutting phases.
I second the request for pics. A before and after would serve well for documenting your progress, if any.
