What is a Back step-up? I was starting the intermediate workout detailed in “poliquin Principles” and they had this exercise.

Can the body breakdown 58 grams or more a protein at a meal? I am 350 and going by 1g/1lb ratio… I would need 58 grams per meal. Now if I have a MRP I would have to increase my grams at the other meals. What would be a good course of action?
what is your bodyfat percentage?
hey darren, you want 1g per lb of LEAN bodyweight, not total bodyweight. I’m 305, but I only take in 220-230 grams because that would be my lean bodyweight.
Hope that helps
Stuntgod,
My current bf is somewhere between 27-33% given the plus and minus ratios on the calipers
A ‘Back Step-Up’ is a step up performed with the bar across the back - ie like back squat v front squat.
Darren the reason I asked was covered by Sonny S. 1 gram of protein per 1 lb of lean body mass.
