Holy shit, I did my first test E shot yesterday to my quad and today it feels like someone took a bat to it.
Nothing that I can’t manage… Probably can’t do legs today because of it, but I was just wondering if this is normal and how long does the bruising type feeling last?

Usually the first couple injections are the worst, it gets better over time especially as your technique improves.
I hope you’re using a small needle. I inject with a 25g and draw with a 22.
After reading around I think I might have pushed the plunger too quickly. I just stuck it in, pulled back to make sure there was no blood and then pushed down… oh well, live and learn.
There’s only so much you can push the plunger due to the size of the needle.
Try removing slower next time. I usually leave the needle in about 5-10 seconds after I finish injecting then slowly remove, seems to really help with pain.
Then again I pin delts and will never pin my quads again.

Waaaaaaaaaay too big.
Also I like to hover the syringe (needle removed) over a boiling pot of water for 10-15 seconds prior to injection. This heats up the oil and lessens the viscosity leading to a smoother injection and less PIP.
If you don’t remove the needle prior to heating the syringe the needle will become bendy.
I also have no idea how much you are pinning at once but do not exceed 3ML at a time into your quads
Quads are a bitch, try using prop in them. I only pin them if I’m doing every day injects so I don’t hit the same spot more than once a week.
Go slow. I generally do a 60 second count per mL. 23 gauge should be fine, that’s what I’ve used all along (first cycle I used a 21 gauge). Slow is the key here. You will feel pressure but afterwords you will be fine.
You guys are kidding me…
Quad shots are the easiest place to inject, and have the best absorption rate, better than the glutes even.
Brother, before you pin, and assuming you’ve swabbed the injection site with Rubbing Alcohol…
Run the syringe under some hot water for about 15-30 seconds, as above mentioned to decrease the viscosity of the oil, and allow for better absorption. You’ll actually see the oil moving in the syringe more freely
If you shoot into your quads, RELAX the muscle, by straightening your leg slightly in front of you. If the muscle is tense/contracted when you fire, you’ll definitely have PIP.
Pull the muscle and skin taut, back towards you, and shoot, allowing for roughly 10 seconds for every CC shot. This just gives you an idea for how long you should shoot for, or how much pressure you should apply to the plunger until you’re done.
Once the syringe is emptied, leave it in the site, WITH THE SKIN STILL PULLED TAUT,and quickly remove the syringe, swab, and apply bandaid.
You’re done, go and safely discard syringe, needles, and garbage immediately.

That works for me too. Slow remove and I’ve only pinned quad once, and that was enough. Delts and Glute as a secondary site. It only gets better with time.
yep my first 2 pins left leg then right leg were sore for about 3 days…3rd and 4th pins were much better still bit sore…2ml…23g…I found pinning before bed or similar so that the leg is elevated or horizontal has also helped but that’s just me!..first one I was like squatting squeezing the quad tight as, (LOL thought maybe distribute it a bit better) and well I don’t think that was the best idea…
my first pin ever was yestersay morning. 2.5ml into medial glute (test cyp 200mg/ml), virgin muscle. 25g 1.5". Heated oil, and sat in hot tub for 10 mins prior to inj. Left needle in for 10 sec following injection, and pulled out slow. no blood. Squatted yesterday morning, yesterday evening, and this morning. pip is basically nonexistent
Let’s be honest here… If you’re complaining about pip from test e, maybe you shouldn’t take steroids. It’s by far the easiest pip to deal with. If for some reason it continues and none of the remedies mentioned already can curw it,you can add a cc of grape seed oil to each of your shots to dilute and extend ester life. But this is most certainly not necessary for enanthate or cypionate. I’m speaking more to the quicker ester propionate
Lol I pinned my quads a lot when I first started, tried delts twice, and glutes for the majority. Quads always left me a little sore but I’ve pinned 3ml and been fine…about a month ago I slammed 1ml of tren ace and straightened my leg while the pin was in and had a shooting nerve pain, I was painfully sore and had a giant bruise on my leg…when I would walk my muscle would give out like when people kick the back of your knee…avoided it since lol
