I’ll have to remember this thread a couple years from now

I’ve been hovering around 19" for a few months now…
Race to 20" anyone?
Do you guys curl to get those guns? Or are chin-ups enough…?
I know this is going against the lastest surge of opinion, but curls are not something I do often. For instance, a staple movement I use for biceps is close grip (neutral or supinated) chins. I then use movements such as pullovers and deads for my back.

lol…
While I find humor in your joke, some assface is now going to post some dribble about compounds giving you huge arms thinking you were serious.
^having said that, I think a little more focus will be needed to get them up to 20+
Impressive! Wow.

Just to be clear, you are not who I was refering to when I said assface. Whatever you did/do works, so carry on.
Lol, glad we got that cleared up ![]()
Nice work, gentleman. Question for those who’ve broke the 19 mark. Roughly how long did it take you to get there? And from 18" to 19"?

It took me about 2-3 years to get mine to 18" from 15". It took much longer for me to break a solid 19" and quite a bit more overall body weight gain.
What are you all curling?
Great jobs by the way.

Damn, well I’m stuck at 18.5"
Props to all the big ass guys here. I want to hit 20" before I hit 21. A little over a year I have. I’ll be hauling heavy.

Pretty much the same here. Getting to 18" was easy relatively speaking, but like X said 19" took a pretty large increase in body weight and quite some time.

Most I’ve ever curled was 225x2 on a barbell, I haven’t done those in forever though. I stick with preacher curls and spider curls (opposite side of the bench) pretty exclusively now.
My vice is still triceps, once I get those fuckers growing it’s game on…

I still think that’s pretty insane that I have 70 lbs on you, am about the same height, but only have 1 inch bigger arms lol.
I think it’s safe to say you are pretty gifted in the arms department, I don’t think breaking 20" will be too much trouble for you

I was curling 80-85lbs dumbbells when mine first hit over 18". That was about the time I injured my arm (something I finally cleared up by finding out how to pre-fatigue the brachioradialis before training biceps so now my arms are growing again).
damn, some of you guys are pretty tall so it’s even more impressive

Ahhh, what the hell.
In between 19.5 and 20" last I measured, maybe 4-5 months ago, I think.
EDIT - By way of explanation: just snapped this on the cell at work, hence the red polo. Heh heh.
