185kg Deadlift @ 76kg

This is a video of me deadlifting 185kg in the gym earlier this week weighing 76kg at 45 years old this is a new life time PB for me so I was very pleased about it.

Nice to be stronger than ever at age 45 eh!

How much is that in freedom units?

Awesome job.

Thanks very much I have been training with weights for 25 years and I entered my first Natural bodybuilding competition back in 1996 and I have been competing in natural bodybuilding ever since but I used to be bothered with a lot of lower back pain from my mid 20s on so I always avoided deadlifts until just over 3 and half years ago I decided to try and give them ago starting of with 20kg a side and gradually increasing the weight ever week and I have never looked back as my lower back has got alot better with doing deadlifts than it would ever have got by avoiding them I wish I had started doing them years ago.

I started competing with the Irish Drug Free Powerlifting Federation in 2011 deadlifting a PB for me at time of 157.5kg @ 75kg in my first comp this year I have qualified for the Irish Team in the u75kg m2 class in the Deadlif for the WDFPF Single Lift European Championships in Sept so at the minute I am trying to get my deadlifts up as much as I can getting ready for the Europeans.
