18 Years Old, 228 Lbs, First Bulk

Hallo.

You look big and probably have some muscles , but its hard to point out weak points (like you sad biceps) when the bf% is quit high.
If I was you I would drop the intake down a notch and train like a beast and do some cardio (like walking 45min in good speed 5 times a week). Then you can drop some weight and become harder. Continuing bulking is not a good option, then you would be the new “failed bulk kid”.

The through is that 17" arms don’t look that huge when the waist is 40" and the BF is high.
Then it would actually look bigger/better with lean 16" arms and a much smaller waist.

Good luck man

Yeah I’m not concerned about it but I do realize that I need to drop around 14lbs before I can really focus on weakpoints - which is what I originally wanted to do.

I have a problem with thibs idea that on an “all out bulk” someone will only put on 25 lbs. of mass over a period of six months. There are guys who go on the “GOMAD” (Gallon of Milk a Day) and put on 25 lbs. in 2 months. Yah, some of it’s fat, obviously, but come on. All out and only 25 lbs in six months? I feel like he did that so that his idea of staying leaner made all the more sense.[/quote]

I think a clean, slow bulk has its place for some lifters. I, for example, am not a hard gainer. I have a propensity towards gaining fat however due to insulin resistance and having been fat all my life. After doing an “all out bulk” and putting on all that fat (along with some considerable muscle), I will probably not do it again - at least to that extreme. But I also agree that there are some guys who really do need to learn how to eat and stfu.
