18 Inch Arms
Artem wrote:

good grief son. i posted in the BOI about your thread but my post just disappeared.

you do not have 18 inch arms at age 16 when you are benching what? the 80s? even taking into account your young age, do you think guys with 18s are that weak? the answer is no!

you are EXTREMELY overweight. you have PERHAPS 15 inch arms at best minus the fat, as is reflected in your strength.

i dont want to come off as harsh, but some irresponsible people round here are blowing smoke up your ass and saying “well done man! BUUUULK!!!”

your response is likely to be “this is bodybuilding, not weightlifting, strength is irrelevant” as thats the gist of your defence in the t-cell.

IF YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT THEN NEITHER IS BODYBUILDING A NUMBERS GAME WHEN IT COMES TO APPEARANCE.

you are not 240 and you do not have 18’ arms in the bodybuilding sense in any way shape or form. you are 240 of fat and 18’ burger king arms.

if i was being very generous indeed, you are maybe 180 with 15’ inch arms minus the extreme levels of fat. again, thats being generous. that would mean you gain 35lbs of muscle from your year long 100lb “bulk” (in reality, that muscle gain is exceptionally unlikely, especially as there has not been a commensurate gain in strength).

the fact that you are posting that pic of your arm in a thread about 18 inch arms is so delusional it is sad.

Stringer,

Don’t use quotes around things somebody did not actually type.

15’'? Are you shitting me?

My arms and Austin’s are pretty much the same level of leanness. And I like how you relate my arm size to the dumbbells I bench. I curl 70s and do triceps with the stack+.

And what’s with all your fucking calculations? Dude, everything you post is a damn joke. Put pictures of yourself up or you have no place to speak.

You say I cannot speak without pictures. Yet you have plenty of pictures which illustrate that you should not speak at all, instead you should listen.

I do not mean to come off as overly harsh. You are a child and i do not want to insult a child. I mentioned the DB bench as that was the only reference you gave so is the only one i could use.

The “quotes” as you call them were clearly paraphrasing as i did not connect them with any particular poster. Also, the “calculations” took all of 2 seconds, i was not sat with an abacus for an hour working it out.

Your arms and austin’s arms are in different galaxies son. And to reiterate HE IS NOT LEAN AT ALL. Therefore you are significantly fatter than someone who is already pretty fat themselves.

Again, you are just a child and i do not want to upset you. My intention is tell you that you are totally delusional at the moment if you think you are 240 with 18 arms. You are grossly overweight.

It appears no one is prepared to tell you this, even your own friends and family if they have sat back and watched you gained 100lbs in bodyweight in one single year.

Furthermore, you seem to be insinuating that bench press strength and arm size are not connected which is laughable. Austin is a similar age and weight to you, do you bench 340lbs?

My words may appear strong but thats because no one here or even the people you actually know in real life are willing to say this to help you.

No doubt you will just respond with insults. If you actually took the time to read my posts they are not meant as insults to you. They are a reality check which everyone you know seem unwilling to give.

Mine are shite, don’t you repeat that mistake, kid.

Yeah dude I’ve been blasting the triceps pretty hard.

You ever try in-human smith machine close grip presses? They’re a killer tricep movement. Never had a burn that felt so good.
Sorry to bring up an old post but I’ve only started to read this thread.

First, Austin congratulations on the arms, I sincerely hope you give them both a little kiss at least twice a day.

Second, would you mind explaining the in-human smith machine close grip presses, I have never heard of them before and for once google hasn’t helped me…

Thanks

Just because you got to his post first doesn’t mean you are the only one willing to get him in check. For the most part, I agree with what you’ve written. At his age his level of body fat is too high to be taking those measurements as “muscle size measurements”. What I don’t want is someone that young doing a full 180 and ending up acting like a Shugart afraid to gain anything else because fear of fat gain controls his every move.

If you can’t see any delineation at all between your biceps and triceps (even if you aren’t ripped) then don’t count that measurement as your true arm measurement.

If you can’t see ANY definition at all between muscle groups, it is past time to put the breaks on with the food intake.

lol!!!

And oddly enough for the math ignorant…if you keep tilting the tape more and more instead of measuring perpendicular to the muscle being measured it magically keeps growing.

i concur and i’m pretty sure he is well beyond the point of needing to put the breaks on his food intake…or more accuratley probably clean up his food intake

Lol, I love how Artem’s controversial bulk has taken over like 3 threads on this site.

Yeah man keep eating, everyone that gets big has to gain a ton of fat. It’s a tnation rule!

No thanks. You can read more closely and then take a look at that kids picture who clearly takes advice from people on this site.

Oh, you mean the advice that included telling him that he needs to clean up his diet?

People like you miss the point equally as well as the people who think the goal is to gain as much fat as possible or with complete disregard for whether the majority of the gain is actually lean body mass.

Not one person here who is respected for their opinion is telling people to gain fat for no reason…yet guys like you continue to claim that is what is being said.

Why is that?

Obviously no one is going to blatantly say “gain a ton of fat”. However, the broad advice given, when applied incorrectly, can lead to Artem’s picture where he is showing off his huge new guns. Then people follow up with “awesome bro”, “keep eating”, etc etc. All I ever said was that if I, THAT MEANS ME AND ME ALONE, were that size I would lean out. Sorry for having an opinion on how I would maintain my own body. I should let the professor deem what is acceptable and unacceptable for how I look and feel.
jb99 wrote:

Eh - it’s not that you can’t have an opinion on how you personally maintain your body, but it’s more of the overall, judgemental prickishness you’ve shown throughout this thread. You know, the snide, obnoxious “wow” when a pic was posted that you deemed was not up to your standards. Shit like that.

In other words, it sounds a lot less like you’re trying to give earnest advice and more like your lording superiority over those who have not managed to achieve your level and balance of leanness/size.

That said, you do have a great physique. Maybe you should try not being such a dick about it…

Great work! Please post a picture when you gain 19 inch arms!
