15 Minutes to Work Out

so this evening at 7:57, i go to the gym. not typical for me to got so late, but i know my gym was open until 9 on friday and hey, get it in where ya fit it in, right? wrong. they changed their hours as of jan. and now close at 8. super. so i know the guy behind the counter and he lets me lift for “5” minutes, a few other people were still finishing up any how…

I’ve been doing the RFFL workout trying to drop the few holiday Lbs so i grabbed a KB and started swinging, doing renegade rows in between sets of 20-40 'bell swings w/ pushups after the rows, etc… straight improv/confusion. as i was finishing and in mid-conversation i was even doing 45lb DB curls with a toe lift at the top, WTF?

my question to you guys is:

what would you do in the gym if you only had, surprise!- 15 minutes to lift, given your current split and goals?

do as many sets as I can of a big movement.ie squats etc

Yeah I would just do big compounds till failure in a giant set.

Deads, overhead press, squats, or bench with dumbells.

might sound like a cop-out but all the bench presses and power racks are in 1 room, and the lights were already off.

I would just go find a gym that’s open. Probably jerk off first though.

Probably curls

stick about 80% 1RM on the bar for deadlift, do a set to failure. then pause rep another 5.

exact same with bench

exact same with squat.

repeat if i have time.

Was there dramatic music playing as well as the 5 minute time limit and unlit weight room? Did anything explode when you finished?

Tabata squats and thrusts with a couple of 35 pound dumbbells for the first four minutes, then finish with as many sets of 5 rep bench presses supersetted with chins.

Find a babe and take her home with me for a workout.

And by workout, I mean good morning(s)

Superset and pump out as many sets as I could like a maniac.

15 seconds

Squats and deads would take too much time to load the weight.

If I had 5 min I would pick say back and super set pull-ups with seated rows. wait 30 sec and repeat.

If I had 15 min I would use the machines and simply go back and forth between chest and back with no rest.

You could prob do a bunch of sets and still have time for a finisher.

Or you could simply destroy one of the following: shoulders, bi, or tri.

15 min is enough time to totally fry a muscle group.
