People appear to be implying that bodybuilding is exclusivley about low body fat percentage. Some people just want to look big and strong and don’t make a big issue out of BF. You can still describe them as bodybuilders.
Uber newb is incredibly strong and well informed for someone of his age. He also appears to have a much better attitude than many people on this forum. He may not perfectly fit into the paradigm, but he should get some respect for what he has achieved and not mindless insults.

Exactly, people have different goals, and if someone is dedicated to their goal they deserve some respect, even though the goal might not correspond with the goals of others.

That’s like saying…
I went from $100 cash in my pocket to $12,000 cash in my pocket in 8 days. That’s more than any of you did. Who cares that I racked up enough debt that my net worth is now negative.
Yeah, you gained more weight than most people here will in a very short amount of time. But you’ve also gained more fat than most people here care to carry around…and you’ve probably not only increased the size of your fat cells, but you’ve increased your number of fat cells as well, which will make it much harder to lose the fat in the future, should you decide to go that route.

But now that you put it that way Im just sad that T-Nation lacks posters who can actualy judge progress even if the person gained fat.

And the guy didn’t just “gain fat” … he became a complete fatass. I’m all for people that want to build the most amount of muscle possible, but he took it to an extreme. If you can’t admit that, maybe it’s not the T-Nation posters that can’t judge progress, maybe you’re just lying to yourself.

Please read the entire thread next time before commenting. That way you won’t look like such a dumbass.
Anyone who denies the guy pictured gained a ton of muscle in the “fat” picture is lying. It isn’t the prettiest way to get there but it’s the fastest. My problem was that he did all the hard work and then lost most of it, that’s why it was a waste to me.

In the Second Picture he looked like Lee Priest on a Bulk cycle (good thing if you can cut) but he looks like he’s wearing a diaper.
Yes Lee Priest used to get quite puffy in the off season, but he also carried/carries around an incredible amount of size and thickness. I’m assuming his “diaper” was his shorts pulled up.

Go on with life. In 6 years if your slightly bigger and the same body fat and Im way bigger and less body fat. We will know who was right.

No it’s more like who has an MI and who doesn’t.
And you are well on your way to early heart disease.
Just look at that fat that’s sitting on top of your ‘muscles’ and think of that same fat linning your coronary arteries.

It’s just a matter of time.[/quote]
Finally! A VERY knowledgeable vet came in and told this KID whats up. I really hope he tries to come back at you prisoner, he would most definitely be barking up the wrong tree.
looks like shit to me. I don’t see any possible way to justify what you did. If you want a pat on the back for dedication, well here you go, your officially dedicated to being retarded.
People talk about the bulking cycle like it is a “lets get fat cycle.” I think I’ve said this before in another post but when massive bodybuilders gain 30 or 40 pounds after a show, they’re just going from 3-4% bodyfat to 10-12$ bodyfat.
People are most anabolic when they’re around 8-12% bodyfat.
I agree with tmmy let ppl have there goals if they are dedicated. I would have no respect if the guy ate like shit but he had a diet as strict as any clean bulker out there. And I do think uber newb is really fat and looks like shit but he has the numbers to back it up and have respect for him because if you think about it 90% of what we think looks good is from the media look at girls from 100 years ago who were considered beutiful you’ll probably be repulsed. He’s ignoring what everyone else thinks looks good for stregnth and for what he thinks looks good and who knows maybe in 100 years how these 2 guys look(ed) will be considered the ideal.
I think he’s misunderstanding the Pound for Pound idea. Sure, he can bench and deadlift more than me, but pound for pound it’s questionable, and I don’t “hardcore lift” just yet, my training is for wrestling, he’s training for powerlifting.
I saw someone mentioned he used test e? And other people pointed out that he’s 16. Isn’t that a little messed up to anyone? I don’t know if test e is legal or not, because it doesn’t concern me, but still…
Newb isn;t the guy in the bulk newb posted a different guy but he has picks in his profile. But I am impresses by max strength and realative strength. I think of it as the more realative strength you have the less max you need to be imopressive and vis versa but you have to be at least average in both inless you are like under 5feet tall.
But I am saying I respect these guys because of there attitude so my and your attitude is I will win states and I don’t give a shit if people think I am unatractive from the changes I make to my physique to achieve my goal and newbs attitude is the same only his goal might be to squat 1000 pounds.

I’m sure he understands the pound for pound idea, he most likely just doesn’t care. You typically only hear small guys that lift less talking about pound for pound, while big guys who lift more are more concerned about maximal strength.
I’m more impressed by total poundage moved, not lb for lb. It’s why I like watching World’s Strongest Man vs. local Strongman shows w/low weight classes.

Can we declare you retard of the thread for failing to read that the OP is NOT the person in the pictures? Let’s try not to call people names when we aren’t paying attention to what’s going on.

There are very few sports where max strength is more important than relative strength. That’s: Throwing, any sport where there is a 275 and up weight class, Sumo, and maybe a few more. Relative strength is king. A 500 pound squat for someone under 200 is far more impressive than a 500 pound squat for someone pushing 300.

Maybe… just maybe… n3wb doesn’t give a shit about what’s good for sports… but that’s maybe
Of course I 200 pound guy doing the same as a 300 pound and I am more into realative strength guy is more impressive I am just saying a big guy with good but not great realative strength is also impressive. But it is the fat asses who just use bulking as an excuse to eat like shit and bench like bw and think there hot shit who suck. Not the guys who have strict diets and eat a ton and have pretty good realative strength and great max strength.
