Just for queries did you do HIIT cardio etc. during bulking period ?
no cardio during gaining phase until you are actually big…

and as for his recommendation regarding eating, I would suggest a more moderate and balanced approach. Keep a food journal - I guarantee you that you are eating far less than you think you are.

do not just eat for the sake of eating. eat 5-6 equal and balanced meals consisting of the same protein, carbohydrate, and fat macro breakdown.

you do not want to get fat and put undue stress on your body. I would suggest you avoid all dairy and wheat products and stick to foods that are more “evolutionarily correct” (for lack of a better term) I.E. eggs, meat, green vegetables, rice, sweet potatoes, peanut/almond butter, healthy oils etc.

get a food scale for your meats, measuring cups for your carbs, and measuring spoons for your fats, and begin gradually increasing your intake, keeping track of everything.

also keep a lifting log and record your workouts. once you have these things in place for 4-5 years then maybe you can revisit the whole drug thing.
Agreed on the cardio. I still haven’t had a reason to incorporate cardio for fat loss purposes, and I doubt I ever would unless I was stepping on stage. And even then, who knows. Up to this point, diet changes have been sufficient for body composition changes.

My approach certainly doesn’t work for everyone, and more than anything else, the main benefit I gained from my early ‘force-feeding’ was the mental change. I also agree that he shouldn’t ever get fat. I never did. I’m not in the perma-bulk camp by any means.

Walkway, have you shared your starting point (pre-lifting) before? Like, did you start out fat and work your way to awesome, were you a skinny kid, or did you pop out of the womb with 18" guns? Just curious.

I was 135 pounds as a junior in highschool when I started lifting… so very skinny. Im naturally a skinny guy, but not one of those skinny/shredded types…more along the lines of skinny/soft-ish… not exactly a genetic specimen.

but genetics can be beaten… as long as you don’t have pectus excavatum or shoulders that are more narrow than a coat hanger…
