Less than a month left for competition. clean seems easy jerk is now a hit and miss. any suggestions to improve? i will attempt 110kg if i am well at the day of competition
Lookin’ good man. Catch that first bounce out of the bottom
That’s a pretty generous break between the first and second clean, 30-35 seconds is almost more of a cluster set than a 2+1.
You jumped forward just a hair on the second clean, and you didn’t on the first one (if anything on the first one you jumped back like a centimeter). Probably just fatigue causing you to cut the pull a tad short or let the weight pull you forward over you base just a touch, hard to tell which, but something to be cognizant of.
Still doing a bit of a microdip before you dip and drive on the jerk, though it’s better than the other videos you’ve put up. Your elbows drop when you dip though, which I failed to notice before. If you’re more comfortable jerking with your elbows lower that’s fine, but I think you might be better off dropping your elbows before you dip in that case. Keeping the elbows static (be they high or low) should result in a more controlled and more vertical dip and drive.
Also on the jerk, you didn’t get your front foot out very well on that one, your left knee was pushed forward past your toes. It also looks like your back foot is angled out after you split, if you can keep it pointing forward or better yet angled in a bit it should help give you a more stable receiving position in that split.
Hope that helps.
@Jonty great feedback. i will work on it this saturday for sure.
