Great vid.
Did it seem to you like he wasnt completely sure whether they would give the lift to him? Like there was some question as to whether he locked it out.

Hmm… maybe it wasn’t? From the picture right as the judge gave the signal, it’s definitely iffy. Oh well, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt.
I would love to get a 500lb dl that far! But no it does not look to be locked out to me either…but not being on the platform makes it hard to judge.
Or maybe it was just the weight trying to rip his arm out of its socket. I mean, its, like, a 1000 pounds. You know, nothing heavy. Could be his body was locked out. Either way, it’s amazing.
No one is disputing the fact that its amazing, I was merely commenting that he looked like he wasnt sure he got it. Shit, I just hit half that number so who the fuck am I to question his feat…but still…

WTF??
I can’t believe some people are finding away to somehow dimish what is probably the greatest powerlifting feat ever.

Does anybody know if he did the whole meet, or did he just do “token” lifts in the squat and bench? Not that it isn’t impressive either way, I was just wondering.
According to Powerlifting Watch he did a raw 551 squat and a 650 bench. For him I would guess that squat was a token - I hope so.
With a pull like that? I don’t see how it couldn’t be.
Seriously. I’m 8 years old and I pulled 730 yesterday…his lift isn’t that impressive.

He was squatted over 1100

Yah true in other comps. It wasn’t so much a token as an attempt to limit his leg injury from hurting his pull.
Anybody want to start taking bets on when 3000lb is gonna fall?
