I was surprised by some of the gore/blood that they showed (on the head shots) because the show isnt on HBO or anything. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m excited to see the rest of this season.
When he shot the zombie cop through the fence, that was pretty high end gore for A&E, the whole back of his head was just gone, awesome.
Yeah I wasn’t really expecting that at all. I thought they’d cut away on the shot but was glad they didn’t.
Seems like AMC really has invested a lot into this series. Are the rest of the episodes gonna be 1 hour long?

I’ve been reading the graphic novels for about 2 yrs now and I believe the books have been out since 2007 so they have plenty of material to go off of.
And it’s a long sad ride. But they kick some zombie/human ass
I’ve read reviews on the graphic novels and they say it’s pretty bleak. Wonder if they’ll make it a little more “user friendly” for the series? I don’t know if people would keep watching a TV show with no positive outcome in sight.
The comic is not overly bleak to where people would lose interest. It realistically shows what would happen and what lengths people would go to in order to survive in this kind of situation. I think some of the things that are “sad” make for the best elements of the story and really set it apart from other zombie lore.
^^^ Right on. Tempted to go pick the comic up but don’t want to ruin the show for me.

Watched it last night - amazing! Didn’t read the comics, but man I was impressed with the effects and pacing, the atmosphere and the acting was great - lots of real human emotion!
The kid’s mother coming back to the house every night trying to get in, and the father just can’t bring himself to shoot her. Tells the kid to cover his head with the pillow and not listen.
When Grimes is looking thru the peephole at her and she’s just staring at him and shuffling around the porch. I loved it - I can’t wait til next week!
That last overhead shot of the city and the Abrams - with that horde of zombies crowded around the horse eating it…great stuff!

Amen. Anyone who wants to watch a realistic zombie show (as realistic as it can get) better damn well KNOW that there’s a snowball’s chance in Hell it’ll end on a high note…
Think about it … the world is infested with BILLIONS of Zombies, relentless flesh eating unwavering zombies who ARE NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING period all searching around for you blood pumping breathing ass to take a big chunk outta you…shit’s bleak as it can get
^ That is why I loved the ending for I am Legend. Cause fuck it I would check out the same way as Will Smith did.
Decent 2nd episode. Lookin’ forward to officer friendly being reuinited with the cheating whore!
DRAMA SHALL ENSUE.

They drifted from the book slightly since it was not as out there that she was getting the pipe from his partner. But YEAH Shyt will hit some fans in all directions. I’m curious if they are going to try and tie together 2 s or 3 books into one season…based on the “this season” preview they show at the end.
Good stuff so far.

Damn double posting back freak button, hahahahaha
According to wikipedia there are only six episodes this season.
AMC is not replaying the episodes right now either. I missed the first show and recording the second one this week, I was unable to find an airing of the first show. Anybody got a site to watch it online?
^^^Try Hulu.
EDIT: Just checked. They have it.
Episode 2 was awesome and that walk to the construction yard was legit. This show is so sweet.
Unfortunately they will only be showing episode 1 on Hulu.
Anybody know where we can watch the rest of the episodes?
