Zombie Lovers Unite!

you guys can have your horses and motorcycles. I’ll take a tank!

You guys driving hummers need to understand how many losses you will sustain every 3 hours when you have to stop for gas.

What is really fucked up…is that there are already shelters for high profile people in government (and possibly science) that would outdo anything we can think of.

Nothing beats a few hundred feet of concrete underground with years of food and resources stored.

How much of the population would be zombies? I doubt there would be that many if any in certain areas. You can just find a large open space start a small community with people, build high walls, use helicopters or small airplanes for supplies, and horses around the town. Plus with no trees around you can just Halo it and sniper the fuckers that show up.

You give people a ton of credit. the average person is FAR from a soldier or even well prepared for even minor shit to go down. Hell, we had a thread a few months back where people acted like it was unheard of for anyone to even look for hostile threats in their surroundings if out at 3am at a gas station…because they apparently are at no risk of being robbed or mugged.

Without that type of mentality, most people will get bit very easily…turning them into additional zombie hoards. How can the average old lady driving 15mph below the speed limit help you set a quarantine zone without getting eaten?

LOL

Actually, I’ll just stay in Israel.

We all have machine guns. Our houses are already fortified, and we have able (and intelligent and organized) civilian and military reserve forces, with all sorts of nasty shit.

Plus, we’ve been surrounded by zombies for 100s of years. Lots of experience dealing with brain-dead killers.

True, however it would be best to not let just anybody into the community. Old people hell I don’t like them now, they are out. I also think that if shit like this ever did happen people might think a litle different, at least I hope so.

I got it… just thought of the perfect idea.

Stock up on weapons, ammunition, comms gear and a vehicle or two like I stated in my previous post.

Then haul ass to the nearest Costco. Lock yourself in, do a building sweep and clear all the rooms. Once you have established that the costco is clear then barricade the doors from the inside. there arent actually that many entry points so it wouldnt be that hard. Coscto sells lots of tools so you would have all the nessecary equipment. Then you would have a nearly endless supply of food (yeah some of it would be shitty but you’d have years worth of dry and canned goods.

Tons of beds, couches, tv’s, xbox’s, ps3’s… you’d have everything you need to survive for a loooooong time. More than likely long enough for the infected to die off from lack of food. Its almost perfect! There are generators and everything in there. If you got bored you could use the access/maintenance ladder to get onto the roof for some target practice or just to get outside. throw down a rope ladder and off you go if you needed to get out. Once you decided it was time to bail then roll up the front door and peace out with your vehicle

Yeah…until six guys with Hummers and Uzis drive through a wall to steal what you stole.

the bad thing about complete anarchy…is there are no rules.

You can only get around 140miles on a tank of gas with a dual purpose motorcycle. You can get around 350 on a tank of gas in an H2. You can also carry extra gas/diesel with an H2.

There are a lot of isolated rural areas out here in Michigan. A lot of farms and farmland way the fuck out in BFE. I remember reading about how almost a third of the people out here still have dial-up connections and no cable TV, so there would be pockets of survivors scattered about the state at the onset of the zombie apocalypse.

I don’t think I would seek out one of those places though, I’m sure they would be prime targets for roaming gangs of thugs that are just using the zombie apocalypse as an excuse to rape, pillage and murder.

If there ever is a zombie apocalypse, I think the first stages would be mass chaos, riots, looting and wanton destruction. After the initial shock wears off, and the zombies start growing in number, I think a lot of sociopaths would start banding together to take advantage of the situation to engage in nefarious and heinous acts against whatever surviving element they come across.

I think we would see these gangs actually start warring with each other over turf and resources, losing sight of the real enemy - the zombie horde. After a while these gangs would have thinned out as they killed off each other and eventually it would calm down to a level where one could actually roam the landscape in search of a more hospitable environment. Whatever that may be.

The biggest threat to any survivor during the zombie apocalypse would be human first, then zombie.

Precisely.

true but thats why I said barricade the doors from the inside. weld that shit shut. if you had enough time (1-2 days) to establish your position in there it would be pretty secure. But I would have my own weapons (a lot of them) plus my armored humvee with mounted twin 240’s on the turret with the duel 750 round ammo cans.

Send em on through that door and… it’d be a bad day for those guys

There are pros and cons to each. For comfort and more than one person, take the H2. If your goal is to get out of the infected city where THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE TRAMPLING/EATING EACH OTHER AND GETTING INTO TRAFFIC JAMS, then you would be a major dumbass to think a motorcycle wouldn’t be best.

At the start of infection, the guy trapped in traffic LOSES.

True, didn’t think about that really since I’m in the country anyway. If you had a hummer though you could also attach a trailer with a bike. win-win

lol…but you won’t be getting that bike out the city any time soon.

I remember how people acted when that hurricane came close to Houston. Traffic was backed up forever…and that was with a very calm evacuation.

Imagine the panic of zombie apocalypse. The ONLY thing that matters in the first day or two is getting away from all of the people.

You can barely drive anywhere in rush hour traffic here.

Therefore, motorcycle trumps H2.

Helicopter trumps all.

Ok I just thought of it… new best idea ever… Jet Pack.

Fully agree, if you’re in the city just lock yourself in for a while.
Also jetpack WINS, fly low and burn’em up!!!

30 seconds of flight time presents issues.
