Zoltan! (Training Log)

I forget if I asked you what kinda dog you got?

You guys get to go hiking together?! That’s awesome!! My dog gets tired after a block :/.
So with all this hiking does that mean you’re spotting mountian goats and whatnot?
AND BEARS!!!

Do you live near yoho? I was there when I was a kid…

Spock! Our dog is a cross between a lhasa apso, and some kind of weinerdog terrier mutt. He is all black (although going grey now) and was born without a tail (just a stub) so his name is Stubbs (haha). Although since he is very sensitive about his tail (he will bite at you if you try to grab it) I figured if he spoke english he probably wouldn’t appreciate being named after his ‘shame’ so i gave him the alternate name of “Rodrigo” (the beggar king).

I’m not really worried about wildlife, most of the wildlife only is out at night and stay away from humans, although our dog almost got picked up by a golden eagle once, and we do have quite a bit of coyotes around, but you almost never see them. A bear likes to eat our compost occasionally, but i think its a last ditch resort for him because he usually only does it once a year.

Although today on my hike the wild turkeys were making quite a bit of noise!

Diet notes:

we’ll call it the WTFRow Challenge.

friday - did some dumbbell rows and bench press’s but they felt like shit so i went and did 40min of cardio on the stationary bike, aaaand for the first time in my life i actually felt good and enjoyed it which is really fucking strange.

saturday - did some more cardio, a half hike, and 30 min on the stationary bike.

passed my fitness test today. was sick all last week.

find it almost impossible to log my workouts when i’m this busy.

spent first 2 weeks back to work working 14-15 hour days on a huge fire, since then we’ve done sandbagging for floods, i’ve gotten about 2 weight training sessions in , and doing a third today. Also been getting cardio and circuit/crossfit style training in at work.

so basically i have been doing cardio every morning, and a 3 day split in the evenings.
mon - upper body, push/pull- vertical, and arms
wed - upper body, push/pull- horizontal, and arms
fri - Lower body, squats and jumps, and shoulders.
