could someone please explain why this has to be taken 30-60 min. before bedtime. does it do different things in my stomach if i’m sleeping.

ZMA helps some people sleep, like me, so it’s advised to be taken 30-60 minutes before bed to help take full advantage of this effect. It’s not mandatory, just recommended.

It knocks me out pretty good i think.

I usually get a really good nights sleep if I take it right before laying down. I notice that if I take it a while before laying down then I don’t fall asleep as well. Try it and see how it works for you.

so i can take it anytime during the day/night as long it’s on a empty stomach ?
i do not get much sleep, 4-5 hrs. all my life (and at times an afternoon nap) i have no trouble falling asleep, at most 1 minute :o) and i sleep well albeit not long.
i do not like to sleep,want to be awake and moving. guess that’s why i like nyc. (i know–not enough rest is not good)

Correct. You can even take it with food (if you have to/forget), just avoid foods containing large amounts of calcium.

ZMA’s purpose is to maintain healthy levels of zinc to support testosterone production. The improved quality of sleep/dreams is just an added bonus, so just take it whenever it is the easiest for you.
