I read everywhere that ZMA supplements are supposed to help you sleep/recover.
I currently take AST multi-32x vitamins, which have comparable amounts of zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B to ZMA supplements.
I have a couple of questions:
1.) Are the other vitamins and minerals supplied by the multi-vitamin hindering ZMA absorption etc?
2.) Would Supplementing with ZMA in addition (but not at the same time) as the multi-vitamin give me the effect I want (improved sleep and recovery)?
3.) Quickly can you guys just testify to the benefits of ZMA?
Thanks in advance, just wondering if I should order it along with Classic GROW! to save money on shipping.

I feel that ZMA is important for recovery, sleep, etc. I’ve never heard of any problems with taking a multi-v and ZMA.
if the vitamins contain any sort of other cationic minerals(i.e. Calcium, Selenium, Iron), it will compete for absorption. which is bad.
among the vitamins, I wouldn’t worry too much, you can have some coordination but it wouldnt be an issue as far as absorption goes.
I’m a big fan of ZMA. I don’t need to say much more than that.
As for vitamins vs. ZMA. There are plenty of documented studies that show ingesting vitamins in the morning is more beneficial than any other time of day. Can I quote them? Of course not, but I have read some. So if you take your multi in the morning and ZMA at night there shouldn’t be any issues.
ZMA also works best if you take it on an empty stomach. I usually do that 30 minutes before the last thing I eat for bed. I know it sounds like an overrated vitamin blend, but for some crazy reason, it really does work.
I thought ZMA was Balco’s cover for selling designer steroids to athletes.
ZMA gives me a deeper kind of sleep. I feel better when I wake up in the morning.
Also the dreams are extremely vivid and they are often the GOOD kind.

That sounds good, thanks a lot. I never dream, or I can never remember them.
This should be good. I ordered it. Thanks a lot, as always, T-Nation is helpful.
