ZMA During The Day?

Hey gang,

I remember reading somewhere that there should be no problem taking ZMA during the day (yes, as long as it’s not timed near a calcium-rich meal). But I was wondering if anyone actually takes it at any time besides bedtime?

I’ve used it for quite a while, usually about 45 minutes before going to sleep, but occasionally I’ll forget, and it might be easier if I can just toss it down during the day. Anyone do that?

I’ve taken it for a while during the day and it worked just fine.

One pill in the morning and one pill in the evening.

I take it prior to running, either in the morning or evening. Not only is it ok, but I believe it helps.

I know it can aid sleep, but if you don’t need that, I’m personally wouldn’t waste this effect by taking it before bedtime. In case you’re interestd, I take the ZMA serving (3), 1000 mg of Taurine, and a serving of BCAAs prior to running (competitive, marathon and 10K training).

I sincerely believe that it is helping me performance wise, and minimizing the muscle loss that can occur with a high level of endurance training like this.

I have been taking 6 zma lately, I think that there is world of difference in how much it helps sleep.

I take it during the day and find that the benefits are just as pronounced as when taking it at night. My reasoning for switching from nighttime to daytime doses is to avoid combining it with the calcium in my pm cottage cheese. Experiment with the timing yourself; Lord knows the stuff is cheap enough to allow an experiment here and there.

Take three only dude. There is a reason for the dosage. Too much Vit B6 isn’t good and can actually harm you.

Ive tried all sorts of variations. Ive split it up during the day, doesn’t seem to make me groggy at all if I pop a cap at a time split up.
