I got ALL of my homework done today. Woohoo! Now I don’t have to rush and do it during class.

Tomorrow, I will have 30 minutes of free time until I have to go to the college (if I can; the weather is suppose to not be the best so my aunt might not be able to take me). What can I fit in conditioning-wise? I think ellipticaling is okay with my knee, so I might do that. I don’t really want to shadowbox because there’s all those people at the school’s gym (if I want the 30 minutes. If I go home, I have about 10-15 minutes, most of which is spent getting ready).

Did some elliptical, rowing, walking on a treadmill… what else…

Oh yeah. I pulled 385x1 on trap bar deadlift
I wanted to see how much I could do, and I got that as my max. I tried 405, but I could only get it like an inch off the ground.
When I first tried 385, I got about halfway before it slipped out of my hands a bit and I had to let it down. Some middleschool kid or whatveer was walking too near and complained it almost got his foot. Yeah. Get out of the way! Its not like its in a walking path. Then I put some chalk on my hands, and after a bit of rest, I pulled the 385. It took a lot of willpower to get through, but I just kept pulling and I got It up.
I’m really happy I could pull this. Coach was impressed when I told him.

My knee has been feeling pretty good today. Those exercises are working good.

Tomorrow, my lifting time is cut down because of a pep rally at school… ugh. I get the point of them, but come on. They should make it after school, or like on some other day so if somebody wants to go, they can go! Some people have stuff that would be more beneficial to do than sit and watch other people do stuff (this is why I don’t watch spectator sports… its a waste of time AND its not enjoyable for me). Of course I get its for enjoyment, as I will watch the occasional chemistry video or whatnot, but a pep rally (which is just so boring in my opinion) is something I’d rather not do. I remember 8th grade I didn’t go to a field trip because it was a sports game. It was the whole day, so I just didn’t go to school since it was just going to be a waste of time. I’ve been to one for a 7th grade field trip. Too loud. Everyone’s screaming and whatever. And I don’t find it fun watching other people play a game.

Anyways, rant aside, It looks like I will be staying after tomorrow to finish my lifting. Oh well.

This was a good workout.

Biology stuff is really fascinating. You can derive so many chemicals from plants/fungi/bacteria, and you can even go as far as genetically manipulate them (my gedankebeispiel (thought-example, ie, the example I’m thinking of when I say this) is the Penecillin mold, as they genetically modified a variant so it produces high amounts of penecillin)
I could see myself working with stuff like this. I love chemistry and more specifically organic and bio-organic chemistry.

I think I might take 3 science classes next year. AP Chem, AP Bio, and AP Physics 2. Il also be doing AP Calc AB, and I guess I need an English and History class. Hmm. I would have a maximum possibility of doing 7 AP courses. That’s not doable, since having a max of 8 credits, I need 2 0.5 credits of strength (my lifting), and 2 credits study halls. My maximum course load (if I include all study halls) would be 5 AP courses (or just courses in general, history and English don’t have to be AP, but I would like that). So History and English. Math is required of course. I have only 2 extra AP courses, and 1 has to be science. I only get to choose 1 AP courses. I guess Il do Chem, since I can learn Bio stuff at the college program. Its good for me think out loud on this site, I think.

There is a “One door closes, and a window opens” opportunity to this, however. Coach says that we are allowed to come into his strength during study halls. So I can get work done that I need, and then go to strength the rest of the time. That means I can cheat in an extra class (Plus I can just go after school to do finish lifting). It won’t be graded, of course, but, fine with me. Il have the opportunity to then have my extra AP Bio course.

Thoughts? I think this might be too much AP stuff, but at the same time, Il only be taking 6 AP classes (History English I don’t want, but AP Calc AB, AP physics, AP chem, and AP bio I do want to take). I think I could manage it, but then again maybe not.

I have the option to hold off AP courses until senior year, but then colleges won’t see it really.

I plan on going to the gym today, and I think I’m going to do the gherkins fitness test on the treadmill. Should be fun.

Back is stiff, not doing deadlifts for 3 weeks, pulling a 1RM on trap bar, and then doing regular as planned the day after, must not be too exciting for my body. Oh well.

I think I have a better idea on what I want to have as my career. Not only a plant-based pharmacologist, but generally focused on extracting, synthesizing, and deriving medicinal compounds from organisms (plants, fungi/mold, and bacteria).

I have some big ideas on what I want to do this year.

Is it weird that when I’m in my rest period between sets (and there’s nobody I want to talk to), I slowly revolve around the center of a circle approximately 1 cubit in diameter, in the counter-clockwise (though sometimes clockwise) at the rate of approximately 1 revolution per 8 seconds? I call it my “idle animation”. That or some other useless motion, so I don’t have to stand still, and also so I don’t have to make eye contact with anyone while simulataniously making eye contact with EVERYONE because of my rotation…?

I got my eating in today.

Chest: 41 inches (Ive been measuring in the wrong spot. I think ive been driving the tape measure as far up into my arms as possible because that gives me the biggest measurement. Its still 41 inches, compared to last weeks “41.5inches”. So Il note on my measurement tracker to somewhat ignore the previous chest measurements from the newer ones. Still shows progress though.

Bicep: 14.125 inches

Thigh: 24 inches

Glute/hip: 37.25 inches

Weight: will update in a bit. Need to do my tendon exercises.
