I think we have a new disealweasel…
It’s been one month since i started this log and it’s definitely something i’d like to continue doing. It’s nice to look back at what i was doing 4 weeks ago and see the improvements that i’ve made.
im currently at 160lbs and i plan on cutting down at the beginning of may. gaining 15lbs in a month proved to be too much for my frame. i believe i gave about 70% effort throughout this month. It’s hard. It’s hard because im a full time student and i have a full time job. its not an excuse, i just realized that i don’t want to be that big. just yet…
summer is right around the corner so im going to start paying extra close attention to my abs and my arms. sorry guys, it’s all about surfing and bitches in the summer. you doods can go to hell. jk. but really, a girl looking to get laid at a party isn’t going to ask me what i can squat.
what gets to me are the guys on this forum that speak with a tone of someone with a ton of experience, but then you look at their logs and see that they have muscle imbalances and squat 135lbs. some started lifting just last year.
That gets to me.
It’s easy to come up with rebuttals on the internet when google is right at your fingertips. what these internet warriors have to realize is that the more you train, and the more you see people train, and the more you train people, the more you’ll see that this bodybuilding thing has got so much more to it then templates and PR’s. It’s a very humbling experience. Hence i never tell someone what to do. i merely suggest because in theory i can be very wrong, or very right.
what i realized this month…
i think one of the best ways to improve in a sport is to constantly practice it with someone who is above and beyond your capabilities. same goes with lifting. i work out at a commercial gym and im one of the very few who deadlifts and squats. i actually started a deadlifting movement and began seeing many others do it. but anywayz, i believe that if there was a guy on the rack next to me repping 365lbs, id wanna do that to instead of doing 315lbs. therefore, if you wanna get stronger, lift with or next to a strong ass guy.
ANY template can be used to induce hypertrophy. 6’7 260lbs trainer named Chris at my gym does an average of 15 reps per set. his arms are 19 inches. just 3 inches short of the size of my legs. 12% bf. high reps do work, and so does low reps.
the variable in this is experience, genetics, and intensity.
the leg press is an awesome leg workout.
hamstring curls are good too.
working calves gets my libido going. this one probably only applies to me.
i worked out today, but nothing worth posting. i plan on doing some o-lifts tomorrow. yea.
Yeah, I really hate all of these people who dont look like they lift giving out unqualified advice.
