I’ve only lost 10-15lbs but I get less winded. I’m resting until Thursday then hitting the 5/3/1 again but using floor press and neutral grip db shld press instead of bench and military press. I’m keeping cleans/hang cleans as openers for squat and deadlift days. I need the practice with them and they’re great warmups.
Just re-read Wendlers 5/3/1 and love this part of the book:

Have a four day weekend. Hit the weights before lunch. I forgot I’ll be out of town for a hockey tournament until Monday so 5/3/1 will have to wait until I get back. Today was an on the fly workout.

I do my zerchers like regular squats. I take the bar off the top pins step back and start the set. I’m heading for Conn. tomorrow for a hockey tournament both boys are in. I really enjoy watching them play.

Harry, so true about getting back to work to rest up. I went to bed early last night and feel great today. My forearms did get a good workout with the towel pullups.
KMC, what are gi pullups? I’m going to try and keep the towel pullups in the mix.
a gi is the reinforced pajamas that we wear for Judo. You do pulllups with the belt. Well, guys like kmac do. I could never do those…
I was thinking GI was military. I forgot about the martial arts garb.

I have trouble now keeping up with everyone. Would there be any intrest in strarting one or two threads we all keep our training on?? Kind of like HT,Barry and QT do.

As I recall Sen-Say started one such, but we all eventually drifted back to our own threadiness.
Perhaps a 5/3/1 thread would be appropriate though?

Sounds good to me. I just feel bad I don’t have time to read everyones threads. So many good ones.
