Your View on the 1980 Mr. Olympia?

And it might be the extent of the knowledge of OSB (aka 1980 Mr Olympia Factoid Man). Just how many facts can one person keep in their head?

Please try to refute the facts I’ve stated.

Try refuting what I’ve stated on the topic. So far, you hitters cant.

He’s small. As all hitters are. You still can’t provide any evidence of one person training hit exclusively and building a decent physique with it.

There’s no bitterness from me what so ever. Not my fault that the facts I have presented don’t fit your narrative. Why has hit kept you small?

Yes, facts are something you hitters can’t refute.

Facts are facts. Not a version of the truth.

We are not talking about me. Mentzer isn’t a popular bodybuilder and never has been. Yates built his body with conventional methods, not hit. He even admitted that on his twitter account a few years back.

Any possibility that you could list the facts in this fashion?

I’m not a HITer, you’re just a weirdo with an obsession. Arnold won the 1980 Olympia and I don’t care. I like Arnold. He has one of the best physiques ever. You created an account here just to troll people on this one subject for some reason and seem to have a personal disdain for Mike Mentzer.

Usually it’s HIT Jedi type people coming on here, acting weird, fighting with people, having a sense of superiority, but you prove that mental illness is not limited to any one training philosophy or autistic obsession with the 1980 Mr. Olympia.

I’m not trolling. I stated so the facts and, as expected, I’m the one that gets attacked. I’m just replying. You still haven’t refuted my comment on the 1980 olympia. Facts are not a mental illeness. I’m just setting the record straight.

Then list the facts. The only fact I agree with is that I cannot change the outcome of the 1980 Mr Olympia. Educate me.

It’s all in the comment I presented earlier but you clearly have chosen to ignore it.

Just one more fact. It is hard to discriminate between your “facts” about the 1980 Olympia and your “facts” about HIT.

What exactly do you want me to refute?

Who said he was big? But since you bring up size, hes only 25lbs off what Arnold was at his best in his 20s lol, but ive no doubt if my mate took the gear Arnold did, he’d have no issues gaining an additional 25lb off mass. Even in his 40s.

The fact is many like my mate have built a “decent physique” using HIT. AGAIN…that fact that YOU have not encountered someone that has built a “decent physique” employing HIT is not evidence that HIT doesnt work. You actually be harder pushed to find an individual that has built a “decent physique” that hasnt at some point in theyre training trained intensely or employed intensity techniques.

Its you that has the narrative, am neither for nor against volume training or HIT.

Why has it kept me small??? Lol, am 6’4 and currently 270lb at 44yo, even after suffering a stroke in my 20s, having 3 herniated discs lol. I train for strength, ive little interest in the bodybuilding anymore. Ive posted plenty of videos and pics on here and the old Dr D site. Wheres your pics and videos troll?

If Mike wasnt popular, how come youve spent considerable time here and elsewhere trying into refute the training style he made popular…decades after his death???

Moreover, his monthly articles where among the most requested in Flex in the 90s, he also got centre cover on a large number of mags when he was competing. Not bad for someone unpopular eh?

I met Dorian in person, more than once, Dorian said had it not have been for HIT he wouldnt have been Mr O, specifically he give a lot of credit to Mike in particular after his first Olympia win in several BB top mags.

Just stating facts lol

OSB might make a good politician: Throw out a few sound bites and declare victory.

I find it all very painful. About all I can tell with any certainty is that OSB does not favor HIT. I don’t argue with that. Everyone finds a training style they like. The successful competitors use many different training methods to optimize their physique to get through plateaus. HIT is a tool as is HVT. A phrase I learned: “The best training method is one that I am not doing.”

Why don’t we just end this thread here - so OSB can continue to reply to himself here? We’d better move on.

Exactly. You cant.

So you all admit I have put this debate to bed. Arnold won and there was no controversy.
