Your View on the 1980 Mr. Olympia?

It’s the hitters who have to let it go. Not me. I state facts.

All of your posts since you’ve joined are literally just on this one topic.

Mentzer is living rent free in this guys head, hahahahahahahaha

This raises the question what is needed to get banned on this site? I expect @OSB to start replying to himself soon (even though this probably result in an attack on me - why wouldn’t it?).

Oops! I made an unintentional comeback. But someone needs to point out a troll when it’s needed. For the record: @OSB - You are trolling!

OSB, your comments are painful. We are talking about a subjectively judged “sport”, and you throw around words like “fact” and “proves” like you have good sense. Why not just say that you liked Arnold’s physique the best, and at least, I wouldn’t think that you are clueless.

Just for your information, you have absolutely no idea how I would have placed the competitors, so please do not reply as if you think you know.

Frustration and bitterness are emotional responses, and thats exactly how you come across, as being frustrated and bitter…and not just on this platform.

Something tells me your someone whom feels you’ve wasted considerable time following the recommendations of the likes of Mentzer. I trained for 20 years following Mentzers recommendations, i realised several years ago that the recommendation of training to failure on every exercise and training with less and less frequency etc was for me a step in the wrong direction. However…it is MY fault for not realising this or alternating the recommendations for MY personal needs sooner, but hey, mistakes are a part of the learning process. I still took away many positive things.
On the other hand ive a friend that has made tremendous progress training 3x a fournight with with FB workouts consisting of 6-8 exercises per workout, one set to failure per movement.

Instead of wasting more of your valuable time trying to convince others HIT isnt all that because it didnt work for YOU, focus your time and efforts on yourself andmtake some responsibility for your own inadequacies, youll find life more rewarding and fulfilling that way.

Because it is about one topic.

I can assure you he’s not.

How is stating facts trolling?

Again I’ve stated facts that again no-one can refute. Where you place the competitors is irrelevant. Nothing you say will change the outcome of the 1980 olympia.

It took you 20 years to figure out mentzer ideas didn’t work for you? It is not I who wasted time on hit but yourself. 20 years? I figured out hit in a matter of weeks along with the fact that there is no evidence of hit actually producing great developed physiques.

Only stating a fact

Nope. You’re assuming but dont know anything.

Bullshit, the bitterness is hanging right out of ya, moreover, youve spent considerable time and effort (not just here) trying your best god love ya to convince others the HIT doesnt work and that high volume training is the only way to go while hiding behind a keyboard.

Btw, i never said anything about Mentzers ideas not working, but that certain aspects where not optimal FOR ME. I still train breif and intense, i still use several of his ideas to great effect.

I suppose a tree that falls doesnt make a sound because you weren’t there to hear it?

That fact that YOUVE never encountered anyone thats developed a “great” physique (subjective term) employing HIT is NOT evidence that “great” physiques cant be produced by employing HIT.

When did your “facts” become the truth?

Here is an interesting fact. Mike Mentzer is dead. Has been for almost 21 years. Been in the ground for what most would consider a generation.

Even after being in the ground for that long, he is STILL bigger than OSB.

P.S. Dorian Yates built a pretty good body using HIT principles.

Well… Now that is a fact.

Heres my freind i was talking about in a previous post training today. He used to train 3 FB workouts per week, one or two WU sets then a single working set to postive failure, 6-8 exercises per workout. When 3 workouts became too much, he reduced the frequency till 2 workouts per week, hes now down till training once every 4-5 days. Hes 42yo former royal marine, 6’2 in height and is 210lb, maintains single digit BF year round. He doesnt follow any fad diets, just portion control.
This was hes warm up set on the wide decline chest today…
