Your Training Music?

I actually don’t listen to music when I work out. As opposed to every other occasion in my life. Anyone else like me?

I love music (it’s one of a double major), but I just can’t see listening to it while I lift. Rest intervals go by fast enough as it is. Maybe I am missing something in my training by not including music?

Any ideas or discussion are cool.

Lamb of God, Slayer, Pantera. Mainly HATEBREED. Throwdown and Terror are both really good for the angry music feel of Hatebreed. Anything Heavy and angry.

Black Sabbath’s “We sold our souls for Rock and Roll” album.

Anything by Rush

I don’t lift or have sex without music. Well, I have had sex without music, but it’s less fun. Actually, it’s just as much fun, only less rhythmic. Well, actually, it’s still rhythmic…anywhoo, I listen to music as much as possible.

Green Day or blind melon

worst bands ever. please, please, please do not listen to these bands while working out or at anytime for that matter. it will make you want to drop a 100lb dumbell on your dick.

After around 10 months. I now listen to things like Gwar and Cradle of Filth to get psyched up.

I believe I have welcomed the dark side

MUAHAHAHAHAH…hahahaha?

I listen to ILL Nino, P.O.D., Spineshank, Union Underground, Distrubed, Drowning Pool, and some Korn.

Been listening to Iron Maiden covers done by dudes like George Lynch, Dee Snider, & even Lemmy. Followed by some stuff from Yngwie Malmsteen and Opeth

That’s usually for about 30-45 minutes then pop on the older soul and funk.

Just joined today. Cool site!

Probably easy to tell by my username / avatar; I prefer metal. Pretty much any metal. My main workout music lately has been Meshuggah’s latest release Catch Thirtythr33. Track 8 really gets me going for some reason.

Also like Dillinger Escape Plan, Into the Moat, Death, Chimaira, and other select bands / CD’s.

Welcome!

MetalMetalMetal and more Metal! Its the angry stuff that gets me moving iron.

Anything besides that easy listening garbage that is pumped through the gym’s speaker! White noise sounds better than that crap!

Since I don’t select the music in my gym or own an mp3 player…

‘TTTTIIIIIIIIMMMMMEEEEE is on my SSIIIIDDDEEE, YES IT ISSSSSSSS!’

Very motivational.

Rage Against the Machine makes me want to kill people, I mean lift hard, yeah lift hard

I agree. However, one band that is not particularly angry (in what they say, at least) that really works for me is Norma Jean. Heavy shit. Not angry.

Strapping Young Lad is excellent too. Some of the fastest and most chaotic stuff ever recorded.

Rammstein
Rage Against The Machine
Papa Roach
Disturbed
Drowning Pool
NIN

Pantera, Slayer, anything brutal, kick your ass type of music.
