Your Training Music?

Although Wu-Tang/36 Chambers, and the Outkast albums you mentioned are some of the best albums ever relased, I just don’t see how somebody could get really amped from listening to those albums. Wu I can sorta understand. But Outkast just makes me wanna chill, get some bitches, smoke some blunts, and generally do nothing. Not lift weights.

Hatebreed
Chimaira
Pro-Pain
Slayer
Hatebreed some more
Fear Factory
Slipknot
Throwdown

The louder, faster, and angrier the better

disturbed, metallica, sevendust, shinedown, godsmack, bush, orgy

i hate it when someone at the gym turns the station to some soft crap from the 70s. like who the F*** wants to lift to that?

when for whom the bell tolls(metallica) comes on, it’s like, now this is the s***!

  1. Pac
  2. The Lox
  3. Lil Jon
  4. Wu Tang
  5. TIP

I got my own mix in my MP3 player, it’s a must, it keeps me in the zone, I feel bad for the people who approach me, they never get a reply, it’s usually some silly shit like, wow that looks like a cool exersise, what is it? ( Power Clean, everytime.)

Slipknot
Metallica
Eminem

Ah a subject close to my heart. Most recent addition- Breaking Benjamin

Manray (you’ve never heard of them and not the Latin group),
Incubus,
Staind,
Limp Bizkit (chocolate starfish only, the rest just sounds the same),
Van Halen
Some U2
Pyromania
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Green Day (their older stuff)
Audioslave
Alanis Morissette for the long walk home.

In Flames, God Dethroned, Meshuggah, Seether, Today is the Day, Pantera, Soilent Green, Chino XL, Wu Tang, 2Pac, Gravediggaz, Kelly Clarkson when I don’t feel like breaking things for no reason

I only own heavy metal music, so it has to be Slkipknot, Slayer, Hatebreed, AC/DC, etc. I stick to the faster of heavy metal for lifting and running.

I’d have to burn several CD’s to make my ultimate hardcore training soundtrack, but it would look something like this:

  1. Metallica-Master of Puppets, Fuel, Unforgiven I&II, No-Leaf-Clover
  2. Tool- Parabola, I listen to Lateralus when I’m training my Vastus Lateralus (sorry, bad joke!)
  3. Sevendust- Enemy, Denial, Black
  4. Motley Crue- Kick Start my Heart, Dr. Feelgood
  5. Def Leopard- Rock it (yeah!), Foolin’, Too Late
  6. Crossfade- “So far away” I think that’s the name of their song, awesome stuff
  7. Soil- Halo, Redefine
  8. Godsmack- I stand alone, Realign, straight out of line
  9. Typecast-When Sinking, let’s keep those T-nation tunes coming!
    That’s just to name a few…
That’s the stuff I really like when doin’ my 10x3’s and heavy stuff like that. I also really like, I’m surprised nobody mentioned this, techno and trance while I’m training. I’m not talking about the typical dance stuff you hear every now and then on the radio but the real hardcore progressive trance:
BT, Paul van Dyk, Crystal Method (they’re not really trance), Sandstorm (that’s the song), DJ Sammy (ok, so you hear that on the radio a little), stuff you might hear at the LoveParade in Germany (never been there but I know they play a lot of techno&trance).
I like that stuff on the days when do more volume work, it gets me focused, I think.
I don’t mind rap as long is it’s hard stuff. I don’t like hip-hop radio b/c it’ll go from DMX and then to Ashanti (If you like to train to Ashanti, then you should not be on T-Nation!). I really don’t like workin’ out to anything that’s too openly satanic b/c that would be offensive and distracting to me.

One word:Rammstein. Especially Mutter. When you get out, you definitely know the meaning of rage

When i need to pace my workout I choose Motown and/or soul and funk. When I need to get nuts…this section varies in metal.

Training for me, must be accompanyed by some hard music.

I listen to a plethora or things, right now though its:

36 Crazyfists
Tool
Resident Evil soundtrack
In Flames-reroute to remain or soundtrack
Dreamtheater is amazing
At the Gates
Atreyu
Shadow’s Fall-so fucking good
Chevelle-this type of thinking could do us in

That’s about it off the top of my head.
The harder the better. The goodlife I work out at, has spinning classes right next to the weight room, so its always housey music. bah. and really loud too. So, it can make it challenging to say the least.

GABBER! DRUM AND BASS! Way to go cca!Wow, this site never ceases to amaze me. I spent my late teens/early 20s going to a lot of parties, spinning records, etc. I still have lots of mix cds, which I listen to occasionally while working out but mainly for cardio, except for hardcore and drum and bass, especially dark step. Other than that I listen to Mudvayne, Napalm Death, Biohazard, and any dark angry music like just about everyone else. Keep rocking the techno, though, cca!

Opeth-Deleverance

Opeth-Morningrise
Opeth-Blackwater Park
