I’m jumping on to this discussion because I’m very interested in trying Metformin. I ordered a supply of it this weekend so will be starting it as soon as I receive it. I’m at the very high end of BG levels, and want to prevent against going any further, as I have lots of family history of Type II Diabetes, including my sister and father, and most of my aunts and uncles. I’m also very interested in the longevity effects, including body fat reduction, as I’ve been stuck at about 16% and can’t seem to decrease it no matter what I try.
I’m curious about metformin as well and was wondering where you ordered it from - you need to be generic in your response, not specific.
For example, Canadian pharmacy as opposed to a specific pharmacy.
Well, I ordered from an online pharmacy. Probably doesn’t tell you much, but I used a place from a referral who has been buying from the same place for a while. I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap this drug is. Didn’t even bother going the insurance route.
I buy it from the pharmacy because I want to use only Glucophage XR. As much as I have researched it is the best quality metformin, but it is a bit more expensive than the others.
As you know, I can’t discuss sites but I use a European online pharmacy site that has EVERYTHING you can imagine ever wanting. My metformin comes from India but its still brand name pharmacy in blister packs. I paid about $110 for 600 tablets.
Not sure if that info will help your search tho.
It does.
I use a European pharmacy, but shipping is a bitch.
Thanks.
By the way for whom lives nearby Turkey - they sell some XR version of theirs I think 1000mg 100 tablets is like 4 euro ![]()
Myth are you in NY?
You need to find an endo or primary My endo gave me for the very mild insulin resistance. My a1c is 4.9.
My fasting insulin though indicated some resistance.
Insurance like this med to as my copay is $1 for a 3 month supply of 1g a day.
@alldayeveryday i know you recently started metformin. How’s it going? And labs while on it?
No labs. I’m taking the lowest dose at 500 mg per day. Ive been monitoring my blood glucose levels and they have been very stable but when I started the metformin I also dropped all the carbs/sugars so not sure whats doing the most good. Hopefully a mix of both.
