Im not sure what inspired me to put classic rock n roll musicians with the Satyricon Lineup…[/quote]

If you’re into ‘supergroups’ featuring members of Satyricon, you might want to check out ‘Thorns’. They did a split with Emperor in the late nineties as well as releasing an eponymous album in 2001. They are quite the sonic assault, Satyr is on vocals

Old school-
Vocals: Jim Morrison
Vocals: Bon Scott
Drums: John Bonham
Guitar: The Nuge
Guitar: Angus Young
Bass: John Paul Jones

New school-
Vocals: Maynard James Keenan (Tool style)
Vocals: Chris Cornell (Sound Garden style, not Audio Slave style)
Guitar: Billy Howardell (APC)
Guitar: Adam Jones (Tool)
Drums: no idea
Bass: Les Claypool (Primus)
Bass: Flea (RHCP)

I dont care who Mutt Lang married, check his portfolio. The guy IS metal. He produced the “Back in Black” album, nuff’ said.

Agreed - precisely the reason why I’m a big fan of his. Back in Black sounded better than another other rock album that came before it. And the fact that the album consisted of some of the best rock songs of all time - well, that was just a bonus.

Vocals - Keenan maynard(Tool)
guitar - Josh Homme (Kyuss/Queens)
guitar - Ed Mundell(Monster Magnet)
bass - Geezer Butler(black Sabbath)
Drums - Brann Dailor(Mastodon)

Maybe a classic hard rock/metal band like this:

Vocals: Ian Gillan (Deep Purple)
Guitar: Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)
Bass: John Entwistle (The Who)
Drums: Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix Experience)

And slightly off topic, but I think this band would rock hard psychobilly style:

Vocals: Lux Interior (The Cramps)
Guitar: Reverend Horton Heat
Bass: Jimbo Wallace (RHH)
Drums: Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats)

Other than that, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are already metal supergroups!
