I’m thinking of taking ART-Certificate and would like to hear some of success or not-so-success story you heard or maybe your personal experience. I’m a college student and that is a lot of cash for me, so I would like to make a good decision here, which is not based on marketing.
I’m studyig Physio Teraphy at the moment. Your input is greatly appriciated!
I had a shoulder issues for a long while, saw an ART specialist a few years back, and honestly felt better after just a few sessions. My insurance at the time didn’t cover it, so it wasn’t a long term option for me, but I definitely believe in it’s efficacy.

The price is half for a student, but you must be sure you are allowed to take. If you are in PT school that should be fine. however, you won’t get a lot out of it if you do not have a lot of soft tissue experience. you have to be able to find the stuff to fix it.
When used appropriately it is great. I am also friends with an instructor/provider and it has served him well as an addition to a variety of treatments.
You should contact and speak with a few of them to get an in depth view of the business end of it before you make a substantial investment though. It may give you some insight into the successful business models that are employed to make the most of the time and money you put forth.
I had what was presented to me as ART. It honestly did not do a whole lot for my shoulder issues. The worst part was that the guy doing it wanted me to come on the regular (e.g., 2-3 times a week for week after week). Plus, he expected me to do all these exercises on my own at home.
I was expecting to go in, get an assessment, and have the guy fix me in perhaps 4-5 sessions, with a session maybe every 3 months or so for a tune up. But what I got just seemed like he was trying hard to make me a regular customer and I could not afford it.
If my experience is consistent with ART, then I would recommend against getting ART training or therapy. If this is not how it’s supposed to be, then I would appreciate anyone recommending a legit ART practitioner in San Diego.
Great experience with it. About a year ago my back was REALLY f’ed up. Wasn’t able to squat or dead for crap, I had worked around it and tried various methods of restoration on my own, but it just wasnt coming together. In what had to be less than a half dozen treatments I went from 405 being a tough deadlift to 500x9 touch and go.
One thing I will say, ART doesnt seem to be as valuable when you are trying to treat a little ache/soreness, etc. But when something is INJURED (not hurt) it seems to work great.
