One more! Too high of training volume, best example: benching 3 times a week. Ouch.

Do I know you? Have you been watching me? You just described the last 3 years of my lifting life! Fixed all that shit about a year ago and making good gains now. Just trying to keep this 34 year old body healthy.
Hash.
As well as most of the other things people have said.

Dammit! I guess the grocery store lady disguise will be useless now. Got to find something new.

not jacking off enough to keep my testosterone levels high.
- insane amount of volume on bi’s/tri’s 20+ sets per and done 2x a wk
- thinking leg extensions and leg press were all that was needed for legs
- endless mini bulks (ie) gain 10-15lbs then lean and repeat
- i think this was said, but believing 5x10 meant keep the same weight throughout
- trying to progress on everything at once
- not stretching for the first 3 years
- Program ADD-Sart Bill Starr’s 5x5 on Monday, decide it’s shit, start Waterbury routine on friday!
- Trying to out train a crappy diet. Cutting on satrvation cals and bulking on endless junk.
- Not picking one goal!
- I think I’ve decided to change my program again since typing #1
- Wasting $$$ on useless supps.
- Not eating enough, being ‘afraid’ of carbs
- Not balancing muscle groups/movements
- Training strengths, not weaknesses
- Being ‘too smart’ to listen to others
- Program jumping
- Not thinking for myself
A lot of these items are applicable in all aspects of life.
Not rotating or changing my exercises and grips, as well as not changing my rep ranges. I was to afraid to shift away from what I knew and what I was comfortable with, but it is beyond necessary to change exercises, grips, and rep ranges every 2-3 months.
Ever since I started rotating, I have broken through more plateaus, made better overall gains, and been completely pain free as a result of much improved muscle balance.
Totally not eating enough when I was younger.
Oh, yeah, then not lifting for 10 years.
Being dedicated to Fitness and not lifting heavy enough
Most recent fail: Leg day a couple of weeks ago. Getting ready to go home and left my headphones on as I went to the urinal. I go wobbly and plop, my phones drop in.
$10 headphones - I wash em off, immediatly put them back on my head and go drink my shake.
not eating enough
not drinking enough water because i thought it would add fat
poor form on deadlift causing me to slip a disk
not warming up

Hey bro, in parts if NY the water’s so polluted that it’s got calories (ba-da-bam! Thank you, thank you! -lol)
S
Repping out on incline BB with no spotter and dropping the bar on my face, nearly breaking my nose and ripping my forehead and nose wide open. The best part though was wiping the blood from my face with my testosterone shirt the rest of the workout and everyone looking at me like I was fuckin insane.

well true its a stupid mistake to make, and their is no real way i can defend that stupidity except that i use to be fat, i mean fat as hell 215 and then i got into bodybuilding and excersise and dropped to 130 last summer and i was so happy that i feared to gain it back so i barley ate or drank anything and would weight myself hourly.
i was stupid at this time however i learned more as time went on and now after a bulk of 20 pounds (unhealthy bulk, which was another mistake i made) i rest at a happy 150, the water thought was stupid and i have learned my lesson and will never make stupid bro/orthorexia mistakes again
pic related when i was obese
