Your Biceps Training

Thanks for this! Gonna try the 3/4 thing. Barbell curls and preachers always give me pain on inside of elbows. I thought it might go away some day, but never happened.

That Dude has some meaty-ass triceps!

Much of the time I cannot consistently do intense isolated bicep curls of whatever flavor with “heavy” weight without aggravating my elbow joints. When that happens I’m out of the serious bicep improvement game for weeks and sometimes months.

FWIW, when it comes actual bicep PWO soreness nothing hits them harder then heavy Kroc Rows.
Hey Push,

Can you post the image of your Kroc Row setup again? I can’t seem to find it and I need to come up with a home made Kroc Row setup myself.

Thanks!
This pic shows the additional Plate Mate which gets this Oly DB to 223 lbs.
Sweet, thanks man.

Seated barbell curls with FatGripz in a drag curl style is one of my favourites. No room for cheating and max contraction. You also get no rest since the barbell only can go as low as your lap. Hammer curls, both standing and on an incline bench are movements I like.

Slow tempo and squeezing are key factors in arm training in my opinion.

Ill go with Push here and say Kroc rows were/are great for adding thickness to my bis. Ill do 3-4 sets of either barbell curls or hammer curls each week but I get quite a bit of work from deadlifts and rows as is.

Those leaning backwards to forwards curls with a curl bar always ruin m bi’s.

Pinwheel curls
Hammer curls
(Both heavy with straps)

Are you talking about Gironda’s perfect curl?

I like to mix up different methods.

I am a big fan of static holds at the top of the movement. Squeeze the bicep as hard as you can and hold at peak contraction for a few seconds.

I also like the CT’s 2/1 technique on the preacher machine which allows you to overload the eccentric portion of the movement.

Pics are in my hub.
Super Saiyan I looked at your hub pics. How can you see to read & type in forum? Were you born without eyes and how does that affect your lifting in a public setting? You are surely a Super Saiyan. Hope someone reads this to you since you cannot see this.

Also how do you eat?

Why yes, yes i am. These are unbelievable. These with 10lbs either side of the curl make you look like pussy but they absolutely rock. Once u get past 8 reps they are just pure agony!

been doing these on and off for years knew i saw them on here years ago!

Lately I have been going heavy on incline dumbbell curls and supinating a bit like Dorian Yates from “Blood & Guts” and have noticed some improvement. I need to get wrist wraps for sure.

Please leave any extra gear to me. Mail them before you die. Mark package with red pencil stating “package does not contain testosterone vials.”

If you do this I will hire Gary Busey to speak at your funeral and try to keep your name alive on the forums under the “coming back from the dead” thread :

I like Naomi Watts so I will try to find a copy of The Ring.

You can have the rest of my protein powder, vitamin D, and fish oil caps. That’s the only “gear” I have to offer.
