I ran a consistent hand timed 4.4 in my basketball days @ 190lbs, 6.1.

Maybe you should be the one running through the drug set in Jersey while I yell “Snitch!” at the top of my lungs.

TheBodyGuard does not run…he strolls confidently and leisurely, like a lion in the jungle :)
Yeah, I do the same thing. People look at me like I’m crazy when I slowly pace around on all fours, but they aren’t looking at me all funny when I chase them down, pounce on them and start eating their fucking gall bladder right in front of them.

Those are a big draw for the high adrenalin/risk taker personalities. It was humongous around here through the '80’s and extremely competitive. Throw that all together with it being a very youth oriented sport and there are a lot of tragic stories of people who were/could have been amazing athletes.
The higher the high, the further the fall.

What’s the farthest you guys have had to run from the cops? When I was 17 I got chased on foot by the cops for about 2 hours. I hid in some bushes for part of the time, but I’d say I spent a combined total of around an hour and a half actually running. I probably covered something like 10 miles.

I got caught and arrested for vandalism. My buddy who was with me was on leave from the Army after basic training. He got caught too and was dishonorably discharged.
Thats fucking gangster. You’re a role model and I hope my children turn out like you.

/sarcasm

I guess I’m the only one that sucks at the 40. 5.5 in high school…baseball and basketball. Back then I really didnt care about athletics. I do now so, I guess I’m gonna have to see what I can do.

LOL.

For reference:

In college, I ran a 4.75 at 270 lbs, 6’1.

Now I have no idea.

Have the cops test it for you. I guess it’s up to you to figure out whether there was any sarcasm or not.

I played football and lacrosse in high school, so I spent a lot of time training for the 40 yard dash. I ran a 4.55 @ 5’11 and about 190lbs. This was on one of the laser timer things.

As for now, I have no idea what I could run. I am 15lbs heavier and do not sprint nearly as often as I used to do in high school.

I know right?

we talked a little about this in that Levrone thread about his 40 time. A legit 4.4 (much less a 4fucking3) is ELITE level speed.

Hand timed 40’s are BS (unless you’ve got 5-6 guys all hand timing it… and those guys happen to be NFL scouts like at the combine. Even then they mess up bad… Think taylor mays 40 time from last combine. They hand timed him and it was supposedly faster than Chris Johnsons Combine record… then the electronic time came out and it was 3 or 4 tenths slower.)

You may be able to run from cops, but I can pee further than you can.

I gave up being a thug a long time ago and do everything I can to not think about that time in my life. For the most part, if a cop has their sites set on me…I stop. I mean really, running from them didn’t work out too well for you did it?

Back to the purpose of the thread:

@16 years old, 5’6" 130#'s I ran 5.5 which I thought was fast but geez…some of you guys would give Usain Bolt a run for his money since his 100m was 9.5 and his estimated first 40yards was 4.2.

I wasn’t running from the cops but I was insanely drunk and decided I needed to be home so I left the house I was at, had no clue where I was going a d decided to walk home.

Eventually stole a beach cruiser, figured out I was by Sea World, hopped on the freeway and rode my bike down the 8 to the 5 south. Had two blow outs, ditched the bike and ended up hoping over fences and going through housing tracks till I found my way home. Almost slept under a freeway overpass. Got home as the sun was coming up covered in dirt/bleeding.

Googles it the next day… 10.3 miles lol
Jesus! What the hell? You rode a bike down the 8 and 5? What are you, nuts? Glad you’re still alive. People drive like assholes/idiots along that stretch of freeways.

I ran a 4.8 the last time i was laser timed, however, I felt good for about 3 seconds because the kid that ran after me clocked a 4.03(!!!) and now is in the nfl

hahaha yeah it was ridiculous. I am really lucky i didnt get hit by a car or arrested lol. I dont know what I was thinking. When I get drunk I get the “I need to be home in my own bed NOW” urge and then I’m on a mission!

It was a pretty hilarious story.

Its a damn awesome story.

^ Its all fun and games until somebody dies Greg, as your old black uncle, stay safe my friend.

4.03?? No one has ever run that fast of a time. the NFL record is 4.24

Jacoby Ford was clocked at a 4.03 at Fork Union Military Academy pre-season combine (05-06 season), it was electronic.

Just looked for it online, they said it was a “reported 4.126” my mistake. Ballin player for Clemson and a track star too, ran a 4.26 at the combine, I guess he has lost a step lol

Well, I made the hand timed disclaimer in fairness because I know its inaccuracy. But when you run the same time consistently, you’re in the ballpark. I had a 40" vertical too so do you doubt I was quick? I know one thing, I played the sport of basketball at a high level…and like Kenny Powers, I was not “trying to be the best at exercising” and I didn’t run track. So, I guess I don’t give a fuck about my 40 time. I used it as a means to measure the results of my training program…mattered not to me whether it was 4.4 or 4.6.
DJHT wrote:

hahaha thanks! I will heed that advice. That was the last time I’ve ever been wasted (for obvious reasons) I feel like I’ve reached a point in my life (at the ripe old age of 27) that I dont really want to get drunk anymore. When I see people who are drunk they just look so sloopy and its so trashy looking.

Not a good look… and I think “damn… I used to be that guy.” lol

ford ran a 4.28 at the combine… so he actually got a quarter of a second slower by the time he was ready for the NFL? I’m pretty sure the 4.03 was a mistake
