Have a great weekend everyone. She Say and I are off to see The Smithereens tonight!
Nice work to finish off the week.
Sensay, been following your progress. Was wondering what grip you use on Deads. Mixed grip or hook. I follow 531 also. I actually train on the 2 day a week program from 531 second edition. My strength and joint problems improved a ton since switching to 2 days a week. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Nice deadlies. Looks like the back heals quick.

Mixed group for most of my deads. Right hand is like under the bar and left is over…not sure what the medical terms are, but it’s like my right hand is ready to curl the weight and the left is reverse curl.
Sometimes when I’m doing 5 sets of 10 I will switch grips and use a hook grip. I read somewhere that mixing it up will make you stronger in the end…then I read fucking with your grip will make you weak…so…that’s where I’m comin’ from ![]()

Ha! Us old fuckers break quick and easy, but mend the same!
I think what happened last week was taking off my sweatshirt and my muscles tightened up…was like 20 degrees in my garage yesterday, but I ended up sweating and would normally have taken off the hoodie, but kept it on and no hay problemos!
I try to keep using heavier weight with just a pronated grip for all kinds of deads. Sometimes I am able to do a couple reps with the low 400’s before I switch to a reverse grip. I would like to have the hand strength to rep a couple with 500 using a pronated grip someday. I just can’t get used to a hook grip. Maybe it’s right that switching the grip makes you weak but I think the only thing that makes you weak is not lifting and if a really hot woman in a thong and a bikini top crosses in front of you when you’re trying to do a dead(or squat).
sweet shoes. nothing like indoor soccer shoes

Maybe I’ll start leaving the garage door open…

ah my bad, as I grow older(shittier) my eyes tend to betray me. The Do-Wins reminded me of some old school adidas indoors I used to sport for the hardwood days.

Got it. They are some sporty shoes!
330 * 10
She Say has now been instructed to not move the camera up and down during deadlift filming.
Great speed on those reps. I’ve been listening to a lot of Pearl Jam lately…takes me back but I got to say 10 is quality forever(one of the best albums ever made).
