Yohimbine Banned in Canada?

Since I live in the country, Fedex won’t deliver to a PO Box so I had all my products for the V-Diet shipped to my cousins who lives in the city.

She just got a letter from Health Canada yesterday telling us the HOT-ROX Extreme was denied entry into Canada; reason being: Yohimbine.

This is news to me. Especially since both my cousin and sister had already received a bottle each of HOT-ROX.

Are there any replacements I can get for the remainder of the V-Diet?

The original HOT-ROX did not have yohimbine. How old are their bottles?

Same thing happened to me when I ordered HOT-ROX to Ottawa.

However, if you show up with a prescription you’re fine.

I can’t give you advice on where to get a prescription, though.

you cant get HOT-ROX cause of the Yohimbine?? So, how come I can get seem to get Spike Shooters?? does it vary from province to province?

I just found out myself last weekend. I ran out of my HOT-ROX stock I had brought from the U.S. and went into Popeye’s Supplemenst in Toronto, and almost choked to death when I saw that HOT-ROX sells at CAD$89.99. Are they smuggling the product?

Rather wait for my next trip to the U.S and re-stock.

I’m not sure if it varies by province, but I doubt it since it’s under “Health Canada” I’m sure it’s federally regulated.

I’ll have to check if we have Popeye’s here.

I need this stuff to finish the V-Diet…

My last two orders both with HOT-ROX made it here with no issues.

Was that all that you ordered with your order? As with the crazy shipping prices my orders have been in the 300-400 range. One of the shipments was opened by customs and the other delivered without being openend.

No I ordered that V-Diet package on the MWA site with an extra bottle of HOT-ROX, the order was over 500. I still haven’t received the Metabolic Drive I desperately need, and I don’t know what to do about the HOT-ROX issue. I want to place another order for some BCAA’s, Creatine, and Alpha Male but I want this order to come in before I do that, seeing as I placed it well over 2 weeks ago.

Is that offer still open?? It was originally on awhile ago wasn’t it?? Just wondering as I wouldn’t mind investing myself…keep us updated as to whether or not it gets through

It would have been Customs, not Health Canada who stopped it. Well, they might have referred it to Health Canada but if you read through this http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pub/cm/d19-9-1/d19-9-1-e.html it would appear that you can import a 3 month supply of Yohimbine as a vitamin mineral supplement. You can see it at the end of Appendix B. At first I thought it said banned for those items but then I see Gold and Ibuprofen on there and you can obviously get those. Anyway, might be work checking out…

I was just going to purchase HOT-ROX and found this thread. I read through CBSA-ASFC.gc.ca’s information and wanted a little clarification. if i order one bottle, will it get seized? One bottle shouldn’t last me more than a month and a week.

I’ve had one bottle of HRX shipped here in Alberta without a problem before. But customs can’t check every package. I guess you are taking a gamble when you order it. You might want to do a search to confirm if anyone has gotten it seized.

I believe yohimbine is a prescription drug used for “erectile dysfunction.”

The amount doesn’t matter. When my shipment was seized I told them that I was ordering less than a three months supply, and the guy at Customs Canada said it did not matter how much I ordered - nothing with Yohimbine was going through without a prescription. I also ordered Carbolin 19 and he said that it was no problem.

That being said, maybe you’ll get lucky with a different customs officer or something. I don’t pretend to know how it works, since some people are clearly getting their HOT-ROX without problems.

I was ordering to Ottawa, btw.

Hmm, this sucks. I start dieting March 5th and was relying on getting this. Popeye’s say they cannot get it into Canada either.

Are there alternatives to HOT-ROX? (other than CEA)

You can always try ebay… lol

Sellers usually mark it as “gift” and ship it airmail express… it’s a little bit easier to bypass customs. But then again it’s a gamble.

Those guys are punks! Ive seen other supps with said ingr. all over the place. … Spike has it and ive seen it at snd(SUX)…if all else fails order it with a bunch of other kosher things like protein next time, when the box get s big and is full of those little ‘foamy super leech light as air-hell’ chips NO ONE will open it, i got 3 bottles last time in un-opened package(looked un-opened),3 Spike, 3 HRX, (Alpha Male?), …any thing else not allowed?

There are products out now that you can replace HRX with. Try Lean Extreme or Adrenalean by designer supplements. Lots of good feedback on that those supps.

I find it dumb that we can get ephedrine pretty easily here, but the good stuff like yohimbine and DHEA… we can’t get.

Yohimbine is listed as a prescription drug in Schedule F Part 1 of the memorandum related to this:

Memorandum D19-9-1
Importation of Human-use drugs:

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/dm-md/d19/d19-9-1-doc-eng.html

If you look through these documents, you will see in the first category in Appendix A there is a provision for over the counter products provided you are carrying the 3 month or less supply and you are an adult. Shipment is a valid importation method for this category.

Unfortunately yohimbine is considered a prescription drug as shown in Appendix B. Many times customs officers apply the first criterea from Appendix A which explains the allowed shipments and in-person imports.

I was caught last year with it and was let go with a fine (for not declaring), but they let me keep the HOT-ROX Extreme I had - 3 bottles.

Prescription drugs require additional forms of permission including getting your doctor to hook you up. The information for how to go about this can be obtained from references within the memorandum.

I previously thought it was allowed for up to 3 month supply, but I agree with Peter that it is considered prescription.

That said, I have carried Hot-RX Extreme across the border before and declared it.

I’ve also ordered Spike through FedEx into Ontario and it arrived (during the last sale).

Bottom line, its a crap shoot and it depends on who you get at customs and/or if your package is searched.

…A N D 3 Power Drive, i got all the ‘banned stuff’; fed-ex pre-pays customs so maybe thats why it gets a fly by and then bills you
