Yohimbine is one of the isomers of yohimbane. Yohimine acts as an antagonist mainly to the alpha 2 receptor. Are there other isomers of yohimbane in yohimbe powder that are stimulating alpha 1 receptors and giving unwanted side effects? Would one get better results OR less side effects if they took only prescription yohimbine rather than standardized yohimbe powder? A downstream metabolite of yohimbine is 11-hydroxyyohimbine. It is much less CNS stimulating than yohimbe with about the same alpha 2 antagonistic effects. Is it available anywhere?
I ask all of this because yohimbe powder really screws me up! I can’t think or focus as well and I also seem to suffer from anxiety when I’m on it.
