Damn the man! shakes fist at sky
I’ve read Wendler’s new book once and I’m going to reread it again tonight but I did like the little variations he made.
I’m still on the fuck bodybuilding side of things, but even with all that I’d prefer not to look like a bag of ass.

On a disturbing note…the MAN blocked me again at work! WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO IN.MY CUBIcle NOW!
No TNation at work equAls even less productivity[/quote]
At least you’ve got a job. Give thanks for little things.
RIP Randy Macho Man Savage…one of my faves as a kid only 57
Who cares what ya’ call what you do. If you attack it with enthusiasm and like what’s going on, then it’s all good. Matty I think you look bigger everytime you post a video. It’s really starting to piss me off!
Its a NY thing being short and thick.
damn dude macho Man died.
its teh roids brah
Dude Macho Man (Randy Poffo) went to my High School. Downers Grove North. I met him a bunch of times @awards ceremonies and such for the school. He still holds the most pushups and sit ups in 2 minutes there. I actually worked out with Randy twice in the mid-nineties when I was a Front Desk kid @ Champion fitness in Downers Grove. (he was in for a wrestling gig @ the Rosemont or whatever it is called now). Way cool dude. almost talked me into starting a wrestling career.
LOL.
Rick
Nikki - Teh man continually be trying to keep me down!
Kevin - I was thinking about getting one, just to be one of the cool kids
how tall are you bro? Im 5’9 tops, but for the most part that makes me a giant in my neck of the woods.
Joe - Correct a bag of ass is not a good look, unless you need one of course. I have always been a fan of both camps, but most of the template I will choose includes a lot of rows and chins, things I love not necessarily isolation movements. I also think he added something in there with singles as well. Its almost as if Wendler said, OK OK already ill make changes, if everyone would stop trying to add shit to it.
Kent - Lol thanks man, but the term powerbuilder kinda makes sense in a way.
Cav - I am thankful I have this shit job, I was hit hard by the recession and am now making a little more than half of what I used to make and am totally out of field that I went to school for and have a boat load of experience in, so thankful yes, but also angry about my situation and very unsatisfied professionally.
Rick - I have heard he was a good guy, which makes it even worse that he passed at a young age, from what I hear a heart attack behind the wheel of the car. Now most of my childhood faves are gone…Junkyard Dog, Macho Man, Bam Bam Bigelow, Paul Orndoff…I think Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas and Ivan Putski are still around. I hope they are. Man I loved the Macho Man, Im gonna have some slim jims in his honor.

Nice workout. I think that it was actually a deload. It would’ve killed me though. And by killed me, I mean that I wouldn’t have been able to lift up 80% of that.
Lol about wearing the aviators. I don’t believe you did that lmao

Wish I could take credit for inventing that but I have been using it for years after reading an article from Dr. Clay Hyght on here.
It does pound your shoulders though, doesn’t it? And it’s certainly a break from some of the “typical” stuff we do each session. I need to invent something similar for my chest sessions as they’re getting pretty “routine”.
I been doing that triad for about a month …<3 <3
I do a heavy barbell MP first, then hop over to burn out…feels great!

And thank god for that!
Shoulders getting swole, eh? giggity! I actually do something similar but I also add a rear delt raise - i use significantly less weigh tho. That weight is just nutty! Very nice.
Love the vid! You’re looking huge and strong! Getting ready for the DR, no doubt ![]()
Keep it up!
Thanks Masch, is it time to go to DR yet?
OK so Im back on Tnation at work, I guess there setting a sting or want to make sure Im productive.
Anyways, starting on the 5/3/1 for powerlifting this week after my deload, Just want to get my 90% maxes on my log for reference purposes. My squat numbers I am lowering for form and depth sake.
DL - 455 %90 410
OHP - 205 %90 185
SQUAT - 365 %90 330
INCLINE BENCH - 325 %90 285
I am gonna sub the flat bench for my normal Incline stuff, I just cannot flat bench w/o pain, no matter what style. Wendler does provide for singles in his new 5/3/1 so this will be added, also there is no mention of Shrugs or UR rows, in his heavy assistance template so they will be added. My Chins will always be supersetted with pushing movements, which is great and will save time. Sometimes I will add resistance and change grips depending on how frisky Im feeling. Got some tips from Meat for my OH pressing, gonna try em out today, my forearm is acting a little hinky so we will see. I ate all the wrong things this past weekend, back on the wagon today.
^ Matty with your DL I expected your Squat to be more, how often do you squat?
5/23/11
Starting the 5/3/1 for PowerLifting Heavy Assistance Template…
MILITARY PRESS - 135/5 (WARMUP) 135/3 150/3 165/3
MILITARY PRESS - 205/1 205/2 210/2(PR)
MILITARY PRESS - 155/12
SEATED DB OH PRESS - 100/9 100/5 80/10,10,10
CHINS SS WITH PRESSES - 9/9/7/7/7/5/5 (49)
LEANING DB LAT RAISE - 35/12 45/10 55/10
UR ROW - 135/10 155/10 175/5
CS DB REAR RAISE - 35/20 40/12 40/10
DB HAMMER CURL - 35/15 45/10 55/10 65/6 45/10
PUSHUPS 0/20 45/20 45/10 (50)
NOTES: Had a great session today full of energy, hit a PR on the MP which was pretty satisfying. I may do UR rows on a different day as I was basically shot when it was time to do them. The deload and no training on the weekend did my body good.

Yeah it should be I actually purposely lowered it, I have squatted 4 plates before with questionable depth, probably a good 2 inches above parallel so it doesent count. I basically want to go back to basics with it because my form and confidence needs work with. So I figure I start light find a foot placement that Im comfortable with and go from there…
