Why Matty did you decide to get the sleeves?
The elbow sleeve? I didnt get it yet, but I do get some tendon discomfort around that area, so as a preventative measure Im hoping keeping the area warm and somewhat constricted it will prevent the return of tendonitus…or at least lessen the severity.

Cool let me know if they work. I have had the same problem off and on over the years. Of course dont need them now running on a fucking treadmill at the hotel.

I’ve started to get the same thing from all the reverse curl work I do on Saturdays. I’ve been hitting the NSAID’s all week and picked up some neoprene elbow sleeves from a local place here . Although they said L, they look like a kid’s L. I’ll have to take a pic.
Damn Matty, you’re huge! Is it… is it hot in here…? <3
Oh, no hack squat video ;(
nice work on the Matty row-
I never saw your sleeve before it pretty badass
I had serious tendinitis in both arms.
lots of stank liniment and lots of ultrasound
z
sleeves are probably a good preventive measure
bet sizing for sleeves is an issue for bigger dudes
DJ - No doubt I should get’em sometime next week, I hope they help.
Ddot - Yeah man I cant touch reverse curl it feels like someone is stabbing me in the forearm. I bought a shitty pair of elbow sleeves by a brand called Mclaren, I lost all feeling in my arm, waaay too tight.
Nikki - LOL thank you! You know I did take a vid of the hack squat but when I went to view it all you saw was my head bouncing up and down, I should of showed you for the lulz…I may do em again this weekend.
Kevin - Thanks Man! The tendonitus issues I had were awful a couple of years ago, now only the occasional discomfort, but I want to go up in lbs with the incline and just want to prevent any issues.
thanks for stopping by guys…you guys are awesome.
Just purchased the 5/3/1 for powerlifting along with the bands, and will get the elbow sleeves tomorrow when I get paid.
But I this Off Season for Mass Template gave me a tremendous boner…Very happy with what Lord Wendler prescribes here, he speaks to my inner Body Builder as he states as many of us are closet BBers (who knows WTF I am) but the assistance work is awesome MPs super setted with chins, 90% of maxes that deserves a Yahtzee. I havent read through all of the pages and some of it is regurgetated from the prior installment however I do love the idea of one week heavy one week medium then hard then easy…I may even follow the deload this time, probably not, but still so far I am pleased with the tweaks with the new 5/3/1 for PLing.

No need to ‘pigeon hole’ yourself. I don’t know what I am either. I can’t call myself a powerlifter or a BBer. I just lift.

I might start doing this too. Heavy weights one week, more of a BB template the next. Mainly to get a better balance and avoid injuries. Just banging away at the compound exercises seems to miss certain bits.
Deloads aren’t for me. Why miss a week if you’re feeling fine? A deload every month is nearly 3 months off a year!!

Im truly sorry about your for mentioned condition. (closet BBer). Just remember there is hope.
Yeah exactly, Brett
Its why I like this template and the former BBB template, it gives you the best of Both Worlds IMO, and seriously three months a year is wayyyy too much “deloading” I figure with the time I miss from common colds and flus, Im deloading right there. Now I have deloaded this week because I needed it but I would say its been about 2 months since I had one which seems about right…all in all listen to your body, prescribed deloads dont seem necessary
