NOTES: So the main reason I am doing squats and deads in the same day is to have a day where I can do some assistance work (i.e. GMs and Bridges) and stuff that I want to do that doesn’t really fit in anywhere else (i.e. UR rows, Kayak Rows) and it worked out well. I need to strengthen my lower back and hams, and GMs fit the bill (lord Wendler says so)

With the GMs I kept the weight light as I never did them consistently before and tried to keep an arch as much as possible and felt the stretch in my hams, the bridges fucking fried my lower back and glutes. I also simply Like doing UR rows and love the way they hit my traps and shoulders, and the javelin presses with just the bar really hit my medial delt (I think thats what it hits)

Other than that, I have been having another bout of fire (literally fire) shooting out of my ass, capsicum anal gravy is the worst and makes me feel like shit (pun intended)

remember, GMs technically are not supposed to be a ham exercise. How are you doing the bridges?

Kev - God I love that saying “ass coffee” Im now switching weeks on which bench I go heavy on and lessen the volume…it seems to work.

MiM - I do think GMs are mainly a low back exercise, however based on how bent your knee is the hams and glutes certainly come into play. I tend to keep a very slight knee bend and keep my back arched AMAP wherein the hams and glutes get a great stretch espescially during the eccentric portion of the exercise. As far as the bridges go I do them weighted with a barbell being placed on my upper quads right below the family jewels lol.

Man I really want to pop my cherry, I want to get the experience, a little nervous about totally making a fool of myself but from what I gather it seems that these things are generally pretty positive experiences. I really think im gonna do it. Leading up to it Im gonna be a spectator for a few to see it all first hand.
