I’m guilty of the odd curl, but only cos my shoulder plays up without them, and so I don’t tear a brocep when deadlifting (though atm it’s unlikely).

Was just going to work up to an easy 5 with 295, but I was hyper as hell for today’s training. I ended up rushing stuff and burning out. 295 felt like 325, lol. Something like this happened about a month ago, too. Lesson learned: calm the fuck down and take your time! Ha, ha…
Tried out a couple of sumo pulls to practice technique (like, seriously only a couple) and did a few suicides.

First deadlift PR since January, and first formal sumo deadlifting session. Sumo and touch and go, but I’ll take it. I was just going to work up to 385x1, but I wanted a PR. Old 5RM was 350x5 and my best single was 390. I wish that I recorded it, because it seems hard to believe that I do this out of nowhere. Funny, I’ve had bad deadlifting for so long, that I’ve forgotten how to be all that spazzy about it. ![]()
