My son was playing The Force Unleashed tonight on our repaired XBOX, but it kept freezing on the first boss fight. A little internet digging seems to indicate that the 360 is on it’s way out the door if it starts doing that.

I will be pretty pissed if I have to send this back. At least this time I’m covered for a year.

On the plus side they sent me a 1 month free for Live.

I’ve been on a football kick lately, playing NCAA and Madden 09, as well as All-Pro Football 2k8. Madden is better than it’s been the past 2 years but there’s still so much missing from the 360/PS3 versions, the biggest things being lack of atmosphere (every game feels exactly the same) and details like chain gangs, referees on the field etc.

NCAA is missing the same features, but at least the crowd noise is well done and the home field advantage does make a difference.

APF’s engine is great. If you liked NFL 2k5, you’ll like this. With no franchise mode it is a bit limiting offline, but online is fun and there are so many different combos of legends you can put together that it’s hard to get bored with this game.

Great minds think alike. The campaign in GoW 2 KICKED ASS, but I think I beat it in like 7 hours on Hardcore. I played Horde a few times and while it was very fun, I’m more of a team deathmatch player and I find the multiplayer to be lacking, especially compared to some FPS games.

Not to mention that matchmaking is horribly slow and not only that but after a game is finished you don’t stay in the same lobby, it boots you out and you have to start the long search again. I’m a little upset that I spent $60 on this and will probably be selling it on Amazon to mitigate my losses.

World at War’s online is pretty cool, pretty much the same as CoD 4 but something about it is just not grabbing me. One thing is I hate the fuckin’ weapons. No scope, laser sight, nothing.

I’m still not impressed with Mirrors Edge, I can’t yet put my finger on why though.

The flow and the graphics of Mirrors edge make me appreciate unique games alot more is all. When all we get throughout the year is regular shooting games unique titles like Left 4 dead, Mirrors edge, RE5 and Mass effect are like a shining beacon of hope to me…

I’m also gonna see what that snowboarding game is all about. The only good game to come out in that genre for a while is the controversial SSX Blur on the Wii which I loved.

I heard live matchmaking can take up to 20min or so. But people have just been playing “horde” mode. I don’t have the game, so I cant verify though. Thats just from my friends who wont play Halo with me, lmao dicks. -.-

Currently not on Gold. I had a cheat in place which gave me 1600 months of Gold free. I changed ISPs, the cheat disappeared. Still can’t get my credit or debit card to tie to the account.

I was going to get a 2nd 360 (entry level, because of how they’ve cheapened out), and use it to play copied games and possibly a free online hack - that way if it get’s banned then I just use my elite for online play. Still considering it, too.

I don’t mind paying for games, but - even though I do - spending $80 everytime a new game that I want comes out is pretty steep.
