I called today to get my shipping label to hopefully get my box repaired. The video went out completely, but no red rings of death.
Sucks. Oh and I paid $99 for the privilege.

I think Assassins Creed is immense but I finished it quite a while ago and i’ve not had much of an urge to re-play it…maybe it will eventually.
I also love most Tom Clancy games, Splinter Cell : Double Agent is brilliant

You have to pay for the 360 if it fails from something other than the RROD, or are you out of warranty?
fable 2 can be beaten way to quick and if you play co op online it wont even be a slight of a challenge.
I would say assasians creed is allright game good graphics thats for sure.
Gears 2… Hands down
I’m still playing Madden '09. I am gonna get Gears2 on the first day. Other than that I would suggest Orange Box. you can pick it up on Ebay for about 25bucks and it comes with 4 full games! You cant beat that investment.
Oh and if you haven’t done so yet Pick up Call of Duty 4. It is an absolute must play.
Assassin’s Creed
Saints Row 2
Alone in the Dark (I’m a sucker for anything that has a Lovecraftian feel to it)
Splinter Cell series
Condemned
Fingers crossed for Fallout 3 and Mirrors Edge.
I don’t know. There are so many damn good games out that I’m having trouble thinking of them.
Does anyone know if there are any good adventure games (similar to Monkey Island, Leisure Suit Larry (the old ones, not the new ones) or Sam & Max) that are on Live for download?
Also, I’m in dire need of some xblive friends. I go by DavidasaurusRex and I’m always down for some co-op/deathmatch.

I’d hold off on that until the next Call of Duty is out.

Mirrors Edge? I saw the trailer and it looks comical the way she looks while running in the first person view, I don’t get that great of an impression from the overall trailer anyway.
I’ve got Fallout 3, Shaun White Snowboarding, MK vs DC & Prince of Persia on pre-order - all of which look awesome.
I’m RSGZ on XBLive, btw.
havn’t bought an NFL game in a while so I’m gonna go for madden 09
I want to get Tom Clancy’s Endwar too
Im SubliminalSteve on XBL btw

Check out this gameplay segment of one of the levels for Mirrors Edge. It got me even more psyched.

Also, ditto on the Prince of Persia.
In regards to Fallout 3 pre-order, I’m looking forward to getting my lunchbox. Then I can start using that for my meals everyday.

It’s out of warranty. With the RROD you get a 3 year warranty with your 360 now. With this video failure you only get the standard 1 year warranty. So with the $99 I get another year warranty, they said they will repair it if possible or replace it if not. I’m guessing they will try to troubleshoot it, and if it doesn’t work replace it with some refurbed 360.
If you ever know anyone who gets the no video but audio thing check out this thread:

The first post was in mid-2007 and the last post was yesterday. Ridiculous.
No love for Mass Effect?

I beat everything in mass effect including checking all the asteroids, satelites, ancient ruins, and only missed two missions by technicality…in other words I beat 99.9% of the game(geek alert!). I would hold off on Gears of War 2, and the CoD4 and try Orange box, mass effect, bioshock, and then the new call of duty 4 seeing as the new one might suck compared to the old one.
I’m Steel the 88th on xblive by the way.
Edit:
Alot of people might’ve missed that the OP has no internet connection so a game like Gears would just crash and burn unlike the ones I listed(best 1player games on the 360.)

I was very disappointed with it. Sold it after beating it in like 12 hours.
Fallout 3 FTW.

Fable 1 is about that same length. Tell me Fable 2 is longer?

Thanks for noticing. You guy’s were killing me with all the live games…I’m working on getting the parents to hook me up live though. I just need to get a wireless connection in the house.
Anyone have favorite routers or tips on what to use to get set up live?

I myself use this router: Amazon.com
I don’t know if you have a wired internet connection but if you do then all you need is a router to hook the 360/router/modem together and you are good to go. Wireless connections tend to mess up more than wired ones. I’ve been online with xbox since before xblive so I know my stuff when it comes to playing online and I gotta say that its something no one should miss out on.
I generally only play multi-player games as a find single player boring with the exception of Half-Life 2 (which i played on PC).
I am thinking of picking up fable 2 is it necessary to play fable 1 or are the two stories not connected?
