I was thinking it might have been broken since it seemed like I could only hear things sometimes. Wanted to make sure I was doing what I was suppose to first.

Yea sometimes the headsets get short circuited. They’re really cheap.
Playing Braid right now for Xbox Arcade and, It is a beautiful game. My only gripe is that the puzzles are rocking my brain. Its very satisfying when you solve one that had you stumped but some of them are just insidious. Story is great so far though/

I just re-opened my Live account, which I had canceled before the 360 was even out. Too bad I wasn’t able to recover my old gamer tag. Played some Halo 3 online and realized how rusty I’ve gotten at the game. After this month we’ll see if I want to pay money for this.
Oh and my mic wasn’t working? I was just trying to use the headset that came with the 360, which as far as I know should still work. Is there anything I need to do to configure it?
Whenever I sign in it says “messenger can’t be opened” ??

Messenger as in windows messenger account. It happens randomnly, but it’s not your mic at all.
My account is on my messenger account, it happens to everyone.

Ok, prefacing this: love me some Fable 2, good game, lots of fun.
Here’s my gripe: I invested all of my experience right off into Inferno, maxed it out to lvl 5, then got lvl 3 of time manipulation. Essentially I fire off time slow, which gives me enough time to charge up lvl 5 inferno…kills everything. Kinda not feeling challenged anymore, thus, quasi bored with it.
Yea, but who play’s fable for the combat? =P
I love the storyline and choices early on. Once you get rich, it kind of kills the fun for me, so I start again. Lmao.

I got my xbox360 + headset a year ago. I just kept it closed the whole. Opened up two weekends ago, and whammo. Worked perfectly.
Headsets work perfectly if you take care of them. Microsoft did a great job with them imo.

Not going to lie, being in college I play my fair share of games. Lol
So heres what I have to say about each of those games:
-Fable 2
Loved it but CoD: World at War is better so I dont play it any more. Haha
-Too Human
Not too shab. I enjoyed it the first time through. Definitely a game to rent instead of purchasing.
-Star Wars Force Unleashed
I HAVENT PLAIED THIS YET! I heard its real good though.
-Assassin’s Creed
Again, another game thats great the first time through and then its boring.
-Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
I plaied the demo and it didnt grab me so i haven’t bothered to play it. Its too run and gun for me…I enjoy some good strategy. Lol
-Destroy all Humans 3
Its a destroy all humans game…very predictable. Lots of fun though. You’ll have a good laugh.
-Far Cry 2
Epic.
-Unreal Tournament 3
Fun for the first month
-Half Life 2; Orange Box
I had a lot of fun with the orange box…Portal to be more specific. Great pick up if you ahve extra cash
Yea, I think that they could have done a lot better job with assasins creed. If they had made it more neccessary/easier to do the stealthy kills, people wouldn’t have bull rushed through and just counter-killed everything.
I’ve been playing a lot of Team Slayer on Live this weekend, I freaking suck! Some boards I’m able to rock it out but some boards are like Kryptonite to me! Awful.
Haven’t really used Live for anything else so far. Most of the games I enjoy are like Fable II and Mass effect type games. I did have a question about buying stuff via Live, what are those gamer points needed to buy stuff? Is it just money you convert into the Xbox live points?

Yeah, they’re points you can either buy on Live itself with a credit card, or you can actually buy redeemable points at a lot of stores, Best Buy for instance (NOT a plug - I hate the place.) If nothing else, I like keeping points around just in case. I know that the original Banjo-Kazooie is going to be released on Live Arcade soon, so I plan on picking that up. There’s some other great games that have been released on Arcade for sure, though.
